Job Summary:

Betaque Solutions is looking for a qualified and experienced Company Secretary (CS) to oversee financial compliance, manage accounts and payroll, and coordinate with Chartered Accountants (CAs) for regulatory and tax-related matters.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in Tally and ensure adherence to corporate laws, statutory filings, and corporate governance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Payroll Management:

- Oversee company accounts, financial transactions, and reconciliation processes.

- Manage and process payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, TDS, etc.

- Prepare financial statements and ensure timely reporting.

- Maintain financial records using Tally and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping.

Statutory Compliance & Corporate Governance:

- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable corporate laws.

- Manage company secretarial duties, including board meetings, minutes, and regulatory filings.

- Handle ROC filings, annual returns, and related documentation.

- Ensure timely submission of GST, TDS, and other tax-related filings.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations, Companies Act, and other relevant guidelines.

- Assist in regulatory reporting, filings, and compliance documentation.

- Stay updated on changes in compliance regulations and update policies accordingly.

Corporate Governance:

- Assist in maintaining statutory records, registers, and filings.

- Support board and committee meeting documentation, including drafting minutes and resolutions.

Audits & Risk Management:

- Coordinate internal and external audits related to compliance.

- Identify compliance risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain and update compliance reports, dashboards, and regulatory submissions.

- Support in preparing disclosures, agreements, and policy updates.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to streamline compliance procedures.

- Ensure timely resolution of compliance-related concerns.

Coordination with CA & Regulatory Authorities:

- Work closely with Chartered Accountants for audits, tax filings, and financial planning.

- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies as required.

- Provide assistance in legal and financial decision-making for the company.

Advisory & Documentation:

- Advise management on legal and financial risks.

- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and policies.

- Maintain all statutory records and ensure up-to-date documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

- Proficiency in Tally is a must.

- Strong knowledge of corporate laws, accounting principles, and tax regulations.

- Experience in compliance documentation, regulatory filings, and audit coordination.

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience in an IT firm will be an added advantage.

- Knowledge of US accounting will be a plus.

- Understanding of financial planning and reporting.

- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting IT businesses.
