VP / AVP Engineering / Operations Techno-Commercial Leader Hospitals & Healthcare

The Role:

We are hiring a senior Healthcare / Hospital Engineering & Operations Techno-Commercial Leader with deep experience in hospitals and healthcare facilitiesprofessionals who have managed, engineered, or transformed large hospitals and healthcare networks at scale.

You will bring strong real-world expertise in hospital engineering, facility operations, energy management, asset reliability, infrastructure and technology adoption into Bert Labs. The role will be instrumental in accelerating customer acquisition, Bert Platform solution deployment, operational excellence and category leadership in the Hospitals & Healthcare segment, as well as adjacent Commercial Buildings segments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the Hospitals & Healthcare Vertical Go-to-Market Strategy, including customer experience, energy efficiency, product performance, predictive maintenance and operational optimization solutions for large Indian and global hospital groups.

- Lead high-stakes customer engagements across discovery, technical solutioning, techno-commercial discussions, business case development and deployment of Bert Labs platform solutions.

- Translate complex hospital operational requirementsincluding 24/7 critical operations, patient comfort and safety, HVAC and medical infrastructure, infection-control requirements, redundancy, regulatory standards, legacy BMS and CapEx/OpEx considerationsinto requirements for Bert Labs' Foundational AI, IoT, Edge Computing and Digital Twin solutions.

- Drive measurable customer outcomes across energy cost reduction, carbon reduction, equipment reliability, predictive maintenance, asset life extension, operational efficiency and facility performance.

- Build and mentor internal capability in hospital engineering and operations, acting as the bridge between hospital leadership, facility/engineering teams and Bert Labs' product, data science, IoT and deployment engineering teams.

- Identify opportunities to deploy Foundational AI-led optimization across HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, cooling towers, pumps, electrical systems, DG sets, medical and critical infrastructure, BMS and other high-value hospital assets.

- Contribute to customer case studies, thought leadership, industry forums and reference programs to establish Bert Labs as a preferred deep-tech and AI technology partner for hospitals and healthcare infrastructure.

- Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Deployment and Leadership teams to achieve aggressive growth and customer success targets in the Hospitals & Healthcare segment.

Experience & Background:

- 20-30 years of experience in hospital engineering, healthcare facility management, hospital operations, technical services, infrastructure or engineering leadership, preferably with large multi-specialty hospitals or multi-hospital healthcare groups.

- Engineering degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / related discipline, or Hospital/Healthcare Management with strong technical and engineering experience preferred.

- Proven track record in roles such as Chief Engineer, Head of Engineering, Director Engineering, Regional Engineering Head, Technical Services Head, Facility Management Head, Hospital Operations Head or Corporate Engineering/Infrastructure Leader.

- Strong hands-on understanding of HVAC and critical cooling systems, chiller plants, AHUs, BMS, electrical systems, DG systems, pumps, medical infrastructure, utilities, preventive/predictive maintenance and CapEx projects.

- Deep understanding of the unique operational requirements of hospitals, including 24/7 operations, critical infrastructure redundancy, patient and clinical environment requirements, infection control, indoor air quality, energy-intensive facilities and business continuity.

- Experience in driving measurable improvements in energy efficiency, operational costs, asset reliability, maintenance effectiveness or carbon emission reduction within hospitals or healthcare facilities will be highly valued.

- Experience working with large hospital chains, multi-specialty hospitals, healthcare campuses or healthcare real-estate portfolios is strongly preferred.

- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to connect technology, operational improvement and financial outcomes and build compelling business cases for hospital leadership.

- Comfortable engaging with CXOs, hospital CEOs, facility heads, engineering teams, procurement and other senior stakeholders.
