Role Designation: General Manager / Assistant Vice President / Vice President - Techno Commercial Engineering Leader - Building Segment (With HVAC Expertise)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an accomplished Techno - Commercial Engineering Leader, with Buildings Experience and HVAC Expertise, to lead strategic growth across one of Bert Labs' fastest-growing business segments.

This role requires deep engineering and commercial understanding of HVAC systems, building engineering, energy management, and experience in designing the HVAC systems, and leading the MEP teams. The leader will be responsible for building enterprise relationships, identifying high-value AI transformation opportunities, leading successful customer deployments and driving business growth by helping customers achieve Energy Efficiency, AI-led Transformation and Sustainability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Leadership:

- Drive business expansion for Bert Labs Commercial Buildings segment across India and International markets.

- Own strategic customer engagement with Enterprises in Commercial Buildings Segment including distinguished Hotels, Hospitals, Commercial Offices, EPC and Real Estate Companies.

- Understanding the clients HVAC systems in depth and create techno commercial proposals.

- Develop long-term enterprise relationships with CXOs, Engineering Heads, Sustainability Leaders and Facility Directors. Build strategic partnerships across the Commercial Buildings ecosystem.

Domain Leadership:

- Be the Domain Leader for Commercial Buildings segment - including strong understanding of Building HVAC Systems, Central Utility Plants, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Air Handling Units, Ventilation Systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).

- Drive AI-led Enterprise Transformation Projects by conducting technical discoveries, developing deployment roadmap and executive level business cases to drive Energy Optimization, AI-led Predictive Maintenance, Greenfield Smart Building Design, and Sustainability projects.

Project Leadership:

- Drive larger team understanding of Industry trends in HVAC technologies, Smart Building trends, Building Automation, Energy regulations, Sustainability frameworks, Green Building Certifications, and Digital Building technologies.

- Lead cross-functional projects with Product Management, AI Research, Data Science, Embedded Devices Engineering, Enterprise Software Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams.

- Represent Bert Labs externally at industry forums, conferences and customer events.

Desired Experience:

- 18-30 years of Engineering Leadership experience.

- Industry experience with HVAC systems in EPC Companies, Hotels Chains, Hospitality Chains, Airports, or Real Estate Companies is Mandatory.

- Industry experience with leading Building Automation Product Companies or HVAC Product or Engineering Companies is Mandatory.

- Proven experience leading Engineering projects, operations and facilities is preferred.

- Proven experience with Energy Management System or Sustainability initiatives.

- Experience engaging CXO stakeholders including strong business development and strategic consulting capabilities.

- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, thermal or relevant engineering.

- MBA in business management and preferably from a Tier 1 or 2 premier institute would be an advantage.
