Position Overview

The Head - High School Entrepreneurship Collaborative (BHSC) will lead the strategic development, growth, and institutionalisation of BHSC as a national platform for entrepreneurship, innovation, and future-skills education for school students.

The role will be responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with schools, school groups, education networks, education boards, corporates, government institutions, international education organisations, and other ecosystem stakeholders to create meaningful entrepreneurship, innovation, and experiential learning opportunities for school students.

The Head will lead the overall growth strategy, business development, programme portfolio, school memberships, institutional partnerships, revenue generation, and financial sustainability of BHSC.

Working closely with the Director - CIE, School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Centre for Corporate Innovation, Bennett Hatchery Foundation, and other CIE teams, the Head will identify emerging needs within the school education ecosystem and translate them into innovative programmes, entrepreneurship experiences, competitions, international immersion opportunities, leadership initiatives, and strategic institutional collaborations.

The role will also be responsible for establishing BHSC as a recognised national platform for school entrepreneurship and innovation and driving its scalable expansion across India through a robust partnership and membership-led model.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Leadership & Growth:

- Develop and execute the overall vision, strategy, and growth roadmap for the High School Entrepreneurship Collaborative.

- Position BHSC as a leading national platform for entrepreneurship, innovation, and future-skills education at the school level.

- Develop a multi-year growth strategy covering school partnerships, memberships, programme development, international collaborations, corporate partnerships, CSR, revenue generation, and geographic expansion.

- Identify emerging trends in school education, entrepreneurship, innovation, future skills, career readiness, technology, and experiential learning.

- Develop differentiated offerings that address the evolving needs of schools, students, educators, and parents.

- Establish annual business plans, growth targets, programme priorities, and financial objectives.

- Build a scalable operating model to enable BHSC's expansion across multiple cities, states, school groups, and institutional networks.

- Identify new market opportunities and continuously evaluate avenues for growth and diversification.

- Ensure alignment of BHSC's strategy with the broader objectives of CIE and the University's institutional priorities.

B. School & School Group Partnerships:

- Build and manage strategic relationships with schools, school chains, school groups, educational institutions, and education networks across India.

- Develop and maintain a structured pipeline of prospective partner schools and institutional clients.

- Engage with school promoters, trustees, principals, heads of schools, academic directors, career counsellors, and senior education leaders.

- Develop differentiated partnership and membership models that provide long-term value to participating schools.

- Create institutional collaboration frameworks covering entrepreneurship programmes, innovation challenges, student development, educator development, competitions, immersion programmes, and experiential learning.

- Develop multi-school and school-group partnerships to accelerate national scale.

- Establish mechanisms for school onboarding, engagement, retention, renewal, and expansion.

- Build long-term institutional relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and expanded engagement.

- Monitor school partner satisfaction and continuously strengthen the quality and value of institutional partnerships.

C. BHSC Membership Programme:

- Design, launch, and continuously strengthen the BHSC School Membership Programme.

- Develop membership tiers, value propositions, benefits, pricing structures, engagement models, and renewal frameworks.

- Establish a compelling membership proposition covering entrepreneurship education, innovation programmes, competitions, mentorship, industry exposure, international opportunities, and access to the wider CIE ecosystem.

- Develop and execute member acquisition strategies across priority regions and school networks.

- Drive membership acquisition, engagement, retention, renewal, and expansion.

- Build an active community of participating schools and education leaders.

- Organise exclusive member forums, leadership roundtables, workshops, competitions, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing platforms.

- Create opportunities for member schools to interact with entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, universities, and international institutions.

D. Programme Strategy & Development:

- Identify the entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and future-skills requirements of school students and educators.

- Work closely with the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship and relevant CIE teams to design and launch programmes aligned with school requirements.

- Develop age-appropriate entrepreneurship and innovation programmes for different school segments and student cohorts.

- Develop programmes covering entrepreneurship and venture creation, design thinking, innovation and problem solving, financial literacy, leadership and communication, business model development, technology and digital entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, sustainability and responsible innovation, creativity and critical thinking, career exploration, and future skills.

- Develop experiential programmes including bootcamps, innovation challenges, hackathons, entrepreneurship camps, business simulations, pitch competitions, and venture-building programmes.

- Ensure programmes combine conceptual learning with hands-on application and real-world problem solving.

- Develop standardised programme frameworks that can be scaled across schools while allowing appropriate customisation.

- Periodically review programme effectiveness based on participant feedback, learning outcomes, school requirements, market trends, and programme economics.

- Identify opportunities for new programmes, certifications, competitions, and strategic initiatives based on market demand.

E. Student Entrepreneurship & Innovation Ecosystem:

- Create structured pathways for school students to explore entrepreneurship, innovation, and problem solving.

- Develop platforms through which students can identify problems, generate ideas, develop prototypes, validate solutions, and present their ventures.

- Organise entrepreneurship competitions, innovation challenges, pitch events, hackathons, and student showcases.

- Facilitate interactions between school students and founders, entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, researchers, and University students.

- Identify high-potential student innovators and entrepreneurs and connect them with appropriate mentors and ecosystem resources.

- Develop pathways for promising school-level ventures to progress into the wider University and CIE ecosystem.

- Create opportunities for students to participate in national and international entrepreneurship programmes and competitions.

- Develop mechanisms to track student participation, achievements, ventures, innovations, and other entrepreneurial outcomes.

F. International Immersion & Global Programmes:

- Develop and launch international entrepreneurship and innovation immersion programmes for school students.

- Build partnerships with international schools, universities, entrepreneurship institutions, innovation centres, accelerators, and education organisations.

- Design international exposure programmes including global entrepreneurship immersions, innovation camps, university visits, startup ecosystem visits, international competitions, founder interactions, global business projects, and cross-cultural innovation challenges.

- Identify and evaluate suitable international destinations, institutions, and ecosystem partners.

- Develop programme structures, commercial models, budgets, and operating frameworks for international programmes.

- Ensure high-quality student experience, safety, institutional partnerships, and measurable programme outcomes.

- Develop international opportunities that strengthen the value proposition and attractiveness of BHSC membership.

G. Corporate & CSR Partnerships:

- Build relationships with corporates, corporate foundations, CSR heads, business leaders, and industry bodies to support school entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives.

- Develop a strong pipeline of corporate-sponsored entrepreneurship, innovation, and youth-development programmes.

- Identify CSR opportunities aligned with education, entrepreneurship, innovation, skilling, digital literacy, youth development, and social impact.

- Develop CSR proposals, programme concepts, budgets, impact frameworks, and partnership models.

- Secure corporate sponsorships, CSR partnerships, and institutional funding for BHSC initiatives.

- Develop multi-year CSR partnerships supporting large-scale school entrepreneurship and innovation programmes.

- Work closely with the Head - Centre for Corporate Innovation to leverage corporate relationships and identify relevant sponsorship and programme opportunities.

- Create opportunities for corporate leaders and professionals to mentor school students and participate in BHSC initiatives.

H. Government & Education Ecosystem Engagement:

- Build strategic relationships with education boards, government departments, public institutions, education missions, and relevant policy organisations.

- Identify government programmes, grants, initiatives, competitions, and collaborations relevant to entrepreneurship and innovation in schools.

- Participate in government-led education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and skilling initiatives.

- Develop institutional collaborations supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, skilling, and future-readiness among school students.

- Represent BHSC in relevant government and education forums.

- Track emerging education policies and sector developments and assess their implications for BHSC's programmes and strategy.

I. Teacher & Educator Development:

- Develop programmes to equip teachers and school leaders with entrepreneurship and innovation education capabilities.

- Create teacher training, educator development, and certification programmes.

- Enable teachers to facilitate design thinking, innovation, entrepreneurship, project-based learning, and experiential education.

- Develop educator communities and peer-learning platforms.

- Identify and develop entrepreneurship champions within partner schools.

- Provide schools with structured resources, toolkits, teaching frameworks, and implementation support.

- Track educator participation, capability development, and programme impact.

J. University & CIE Ecosystem Integration:

- Work closely with the Director - CIE to align BHSC strategy and activities with the University's broader entrepreneurship and innovation agenda.

- Collaborate with the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship for academic content, faculty expertise, programme design, and student engagement.

- Collaborate with the Centre for Corporate Innovation for corporate partnerships, CSR, industry challenges, mentorship, and sponsorship opportunities.

- Work with the Bennett Hatchery Foundation and other relevant CIE entities to create appropriate pathways for promising student innovations and ventures.

- Leverage University faculty, students, entrepreneurs, alumni, infrastructure, laboratories, and innovation facilities where relevant.

- Develop opportunities for school students to engage with University students, faculty, founders, and the wider innovation ecosystem.

- Create a structured school-to-university entrepreneurship pathway wherever strategically relevant.

- Ensure effective coordination across CIE centres to maximise institutional resources and avoid duplication of initiatives.

K. Business Development & Revenue Generation:

- Own the business development strategy and revenue pipeline for BHSC.

- Develop annual revenue and growth targets in consultation with the Director - CIE.

- Build a diversified revenue model covering school memberships, institutional partnerships, student programmes, international immersion programmes, educator programmes, corporate sponsorships, CSR partnerships, competitions and events, certifications, customised school programmes, and strategic institutional collaborations.

- Develop commercial proposals, partnership models, pricing structures, budgets, and revenue plans.

- Lead negotiations and closure of strategic school, corporate, and institutional partnerships.

- Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates, revenue, programme profitability, and customer acquisition costs.

- Develop strategies for repeat business, membership renewal, cross-selling, and expansion within school groups.

- Identify opportunities for new revenue streams and scalable business models.

L. Marketing, Outreach & Brand Building:

- Develop BHSC's market positioning and communication strategy in consultation with CIE and University leadership.

- Establish BHSC as a credible, differentiated, and high-impact brand in school entrepreneurship and innovation education.

- Develop targeted outreach strategies for school promoters, principals, education leaders, educators, and other stakeholders.

- Organise school leadership roundtables, principal forums, entrepreneurship summits, showcases, competitions, and networking events.

- Build BHSC visibility through education conferences, national forums, digital platforms, media, and strategic partnerships.

- Develop success stories, case studies, student impact stories, and institutional partnership showcases.

- Build thought leadership around school entrepreneurship, innovation education, future skills, and youth entrepreneurship.

M. National Expansion:

- Develop and execute a phased pan-India expansion strategy for BHSC.

- Identify priority cities, regions, school clusters, school groups, and strategic education markets.

- Build regional school networks and institutional partnerships.

- Develop scalable programme delivery and partner-management models.

- Explore regional ambassadors, strategic education partners, school networks, and institutional alliances to accelerate expansion.

- Establish measurable targets for school acquisition, memberships, revenue, student participation, and regional penetration.

- Evaluate opportunities for international expansion in alignment with BHSC's strategic objectives.

N. Programme Operations & Quality:

- Ensure effective planning, coordination, and delivery of all BHSC programmes.

- Establish programme calendars, operating processes, participant communication, and delivery standards.

- Coordinate with internal teams, schools, faculty, mentors, trainers, vendors, and external partners.

- Ensure programme quality, participant safety, stakeholder experience, and operational efficiency.

- Establish SOPs for programme delivery, school onboarding, partner management, and stakeholder engagement.

- Develop participant and school feedback mechanisms.

- Ensure timely resolution of operational and stakeholder issues.

O. Impact Measurement & Analytics:

- Develop a comprehensive framework to measure the impact of BHSC programmes and partnerships.

- Track student participation, learning outcomes, entrepreneurial capabilities, innovation outcomes, and school engagement.

- Monitor school membership growth, retention, programme utilisation, revenue, profitability, and partnership performance.

- Develop dashboards and periodic management reports for the Director - CIE and University leadership.

- Use data and stakeholder feedback to improve programme design, partnerships, and business strategy.

- Develop annual impact reports highlighting BHSC's contribution to entrepreneurship and innovation education.

P. Institutional Representation & External Engagement:

- Represent BHSC and CIE at national and international education conferences, entrepreneurship forums, school leadership platforms, networking events, and policy forums.

- Build relationships with influential education leaders, school promoters, principals, policymakers, entrepreneurs, corporates, and ecosystem institutions.

- Participate as a speaker, moderator, panellist, or institutional representative at relevant forums.

- Develop thought leadership around school entrepreneurship, future skills, innovation education, and youth entrepreneurship.

- Strengthen BHSC's institutional visibility, credibility, and influence across the education ecosystem.
