Role Overview:
The Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts will oversee financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, manage audits and taxation, and support strategic financial planning. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical acumen and leadership capabilities to streamline processes and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow statements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to ensure financial efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax matters.
- Liaise with internal and statutory auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits.
- Monitor working capital, fund flow, and bank reconciliations to maintain financial health.
- Support management in financial planning, strategy formulation, and performance tracking.
- Evaluate financial risks and recommend process improvements for better control and efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for alignment of financial objectives with business goals.
Required Skillsets:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization.
- Sound understanding of taxation laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience in audit management and financial closure processes.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (SAP / Tally preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Leadership capability to manage teams and drive financial discipline.
- Prior experience in the steel or manufacturing industry preferred.
