Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and client-focused individual to support business development initiatives from large Indian conglomerates and diversified groups in the Western region. The incumbent will support business development initiatives by contributing to client engagement, relationship management, account planning, and market intelligence, while working closely with senior leaders and service line teams to strengthen BDO's presence in this strategic client segment
Key Responsibilities
Account Support & Client Development
- Assist in developing and executing account plans for key conglomerates.
- Develop strong working relationships with mid- and senior-level client stakeholders and position BDO as a trusted partner across Business Advisory, Deal Advisory, Tax, Managed Services, Digital services and other practices of the Firm
- Proactively follow up on proposals and discussions to maintain momentum in the sales cycle
- Organize and coordinate client engagement activities such as workshops, roundtables, and knowledge sessions
- Anticipate client needs and proactively collaborate with service line teams to design and present tailored solutions.
Market & Business Development Support
- Conduct in-depth research on conglomerates such as group structures, financial performance, governance, and sectoral trends
- Identify potential opportunities across Advisory, Tax, Audit, and Risk services.
- Support bid preparation, RFP responses, and creation of impactful pitch materials.
- Participate in external networking events, conferences, and industry forums.
Internal Collaboration
- Partner with service line team to prepare client materials and thought leadership content.
- Provide insights and updates on industry developments relevant to target conglomerates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: MBA/CA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: 5-7 years of business development or client relationship management experience in professional services, consulting, advisory or banks with focus on conglomerates
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong research and analytical skills with a good understanding of conglomerate structures, governance and decision-making processes
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and support relationship-building initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with strong executive presence
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Team player with the ability to work across functions and service lines.
- Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to grow into a senior BD leadership role.
