Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, results-driven leader to spearhead business development with large Indian conglomerates and diversified groups in the Western region.


The role involves building deep CXO-level relationships, driving cross-service opportunities and positioning BDO as a trusted partner across Business Advisory, Deal Advisory, Tax, Managed Services, Digital services and other practices of the Firm

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Development

- Drive business growth with conglomerates, family groups, and large enterprises.

- Track market/sectoral trends and align outreach strategies accordingly

- Develop tailored solutions and penetration strategies for conglomerates.

Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

- Create and execute account plans for target groups.

- Leverage client and stakeholder intelligence to assess potential and identify opportunities

- Engage closely with promoters, family offices, and CXOs. Build and deepen relationships across multiple levels, functions, and business units.

- Leverage personal network to expand firm's client base.

Business Development & Growth

- Build a robust opportunity pipeline via networking, events, and targeted outreach.

- Generate qualified leads, drive revenue, and track metrics (pipeline, revenue, penetration).

- Lead proposals, bids, and pitches for large mandates.

- Represent BDO at key industry forums and thought leadership platforms.

Internal Collaboration

- Partner with service line leaders to deliver integrated solutions.

- Work with marketing/knowledge teams on insights and GTM materials.

- Mentor junior team members on client development.

Qualifications & Experience

- MBA/CA or equivalent professional degree from a reputed institute.

- Minimum 10-13 years of relevant experience in business development, client relationship management, or consulting with a focus on large Indian conglomerates.

- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

- Strong network with conglomerates, including relationships with Promoters, CXOs, senior management teams, family offices etc
