Description:


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Deputy Manager Finance to oversee plant-level financial operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning, with the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting and drive operational efficiency.

This role plays a pivotal part in managing the financial health of the plant by supporting decision-making, maintaining compliance, and identifying cost optimization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Finance & Accounting Operations


- Manage day-to-day plant-level accounting and finance activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.


- Supervise general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly closing activities.
- Oversee inventory accounting, asset management, and cost allocation to production units.

Budgeting & Financial Planning


- Prepare annual plant budgets in collaboration with production and operations teams.


- Conduct monthly/quarterly variance analysis between actuals and budgets; highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.


- Support financial forecasting and long-term planning for plant operations.

Cost Control & Analysis


- Monitor manufacturing costs, material consumption, and overhead expenses to ensure cost efficiency.


- Analyze cost structures and implement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce wastage.


- Develop standard cost systems and support management in pricing, margin analysis, and product profitability assessments.

MIS & Reporting


- Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for plant operations.


- Ensure timely submission of financial reports to corporate finance and management.


- Provide data-driven insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Audit & Compliance


- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.


- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS) and company financial policies.


- Maintain proper documentation and support compliance with local laws and corporate governance requirements.

Process Improvement & Controls


- Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and internal controls at the plant level.


- Drive process automation and efficiency improvements in reporting and accounting workflows.


- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in financial management and cost optimization.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Qualification: MBA (Finance) / M.Com / CA (Inter) or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in plant finance, costing, and budgeting within a manufacturing or automotive environment.

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and MS Excel for financial analysis.


- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.


- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, meet tight deadlines, and provide actionable insights.
