Position Overview:
- We are looking for a Director of Engineering to manage and expand our office in Gurugram.
- In this position, you will be responsible for managing teams, leading critical technical initiatives, and cultivating a customer-centric culture.
- You will ensure seamless collaboration across departments, uphold rigorous security standards, spearhead talent acquisition, manage vendor partnerships, and work closely with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:
- Foster high-performing, motivated engineering teams by cultivating a growth-oriented, collaborative, and supportive environment.
- Prioritize the professional development of team members.
- Driving Technical Excellence & Innovation: Lead key technical initiatives in collaboration with the global engineering leadership.
- Highlight and showcase the team's achievements within the global organization.
- Help architecting and reviewing technical solutions, actively participating in the RFP process to craft compelling proposals.
- Develop & grow Centers of Excellence (COEs) ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
Customer-Centric Approach:
- Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams to deliver impactful solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Embed a customer-first mindset across all levels of the organization.
Operational Effectiveness:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, emphasizing timely, high-quality execution.
- Establish performance metrics and ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds expectations.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Partner with the People & Talent team to attract, hire, and retain top engineering professionals.
- Provide opportunities for career growth to nurture and retain talent.
Vendor and Partner Management:
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with global teams across multiple time zones.
Experience Required:
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years in engineering, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director of Engineering or Senior Engineering Manager), preferably within Product engineering or Services industry.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of software engineering and leading teams for Java, Mobility, Devops, Automation, architecture, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), API development, data security, and scaling complex engineering systems.
Leadership Skills:
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture.
Customer-Centric Mindset:
- Strong focus on delivering solutions tailored to customer needs, with the ability to gather and integrate customer insights into engineering practices.

- Extensive experience in managing external vendors and stakeholders, with strong negotiation skills and a focus on vendor performance optimization.
