Battery Smart is building Indias largest network of battery swapping stations, providing Li-ion batteries on a pay-per-use basis for three-wheeler EV drivers through our asset-light model of partner swap stations. We are redefining electric mobility through rapid scale, seamless operations, and strong compliance governance.

What You Will Do

- Define and lead the onboarding compliance framework for drivers, operational partners, and other business stakeholders.

- Own and implement underwriting principles and documentation policies across all onboarding journeys.

- Manage a central team of compliance managers and agents responsible for KYC validations, document review, and process adherence.

- Establish a structured fraud detection and analytics function to identify and act on risks during onboarding.

- Create feedback mechanisms from compliance operations to continuously refine SOPs, escalation matrices, and approval workflows.

- Collaborate with Product and Tech to integrate compliance checks within digital onboarding flows and backend systems.

- Stay on top of regulatory changes in KYC, AML, and partner verification; ensure policy updates reflect these changes.

- Drive cross-functional alignment with Legal, Risk, Ops, and Finance to embed a proactive compliance culture.

What You Will Need

- 36+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or related fields.

- Strong command over strategising processes.

- Hands-on exposure to fraud analytics and automated detection techniques during onboarding.

- Experience in drafting and improving SOPs, quality frameworks, and compliance escalation paths.

- Ability to lead teams, drive policy execution, and manage stakeholder communication across functions.
