Basis Vectors - SEO Lead

Location: Remote (India-based, US Shift: 4 PM1 AM IST)

Experience: 6 8+ years in advanced SEO strategy (agency + ecommerce experience required)

Reports to: Marketing Director

Leads: SEO Executives / Associates


About the Role:

Were not looking for another keyword plannerwere looking for an SEO mastermind who knows how to scale organic revenue for ecommerce brands. If you live and breathe technical SEO, content intelligence, AI-powered automation, and full-funnel strategy, youre the one we want.


Youll lead client growth across organic channels, mentor junior team members, and work alongside performance, email, and creative teams to build holistic growth systems.


Key Responsibilities:

- Own and execute advanced SEO strategy for e-commerce clients across multiple categories

- Develop comprehensive roadmaps for technical SEO, content velocity, link building, and SERP domination

- Use AI tools to drive scale: clustering, content briefs, competitor intel, and internal linking

- Conduct in-depth audits: site speed, crawlability, schema, indexation, and E-E-A-T signals

- Build SEO dashboards and performance trackers aligned to revenue metrics

- Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists and content executors

- Collaborate with paid media, email, and web teams to align SEO with full-funnel conversion goals

- Regularly present strategy, results, and growth opportunities to clients and leadership


You Must Have:

- 68+ years in SEO with strong ecommerce and agency experience

- Proven record of driving organic revenue growth, not just rankings

- Mastery of tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC, SurferSEO, and AI tools (Alli AI, SEO.ai, etc.)

- Strong knowledge of Shopify, WooCommerce, and headless CMS structures

- Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals, crawl budgets, and structured data

- Ability to build and execute content strategies that convert, not just rank

- Leadership mindset: proactive, responsible, and focused on client success


What Success Looks Like:

- Growing organic revenue by 23x in 6 months

- Reducing paid ad dependency through high-converting organic funnels

- Launching AI-powered SEO workflows across content & link building

- Building a lean SEO team that delivers impact, not fluff
