Basel Credit Modeler for Banking Vertical  Band : B7  Location: Bangalore  Job Description:  - Risk Modeler will be expected to develop statistical frameworks and create algorithms/logic to build models especially in Risk which will be Basel Compliant.   - This role involves analyzing business problems, creating statistical models adherence to delivery timelines, creation and delivery of presentations/documents/reports to stakeholders.  Responsibilities:  - Act as Subject Matter Expert in Risk Modeling domain independently delivering and leading projects and working directly with business to deliver high quality output  - Develop models for both Non-Basel (Application, Behavior, Collections) and Basel (PD, LGD and EAD)  - Monitor existing models to track if they are performing as expected or remediation actions need to be taken and Carry out ad-hoc analysis as and when needed to explain the same  - Responsible for end-to-end project management. Monitoring and review of all projects with stakeholders to ensure that all stated SLAs are met.  - Formulate business problems, create statistical hypothesis, understand statistical solutions/models and provide results & recommendations  - Provide client with status reports, business benefits on initiatives and activity roadmap aligned to broad project plan  Other responsibilities include:  - Timely delivery (coordinating with onsite/ off-site team depending on the need) of the project Ensuring high quality deliverables and smooth day-to-day operations of projects   - Supporting Account Managers in ensuring continuous project engagement with the client   - Providing inputs to the delivery manager   - Providing support to Practice Management & Pre-Sales   Technical skills:  - Knowledge of statistics techniques like such as logistic regression, univariate and multivariate statistical analysis, decision trees, segmentation - CART and/or CHAID, risk modeling is essential.   - Exposure to development of Basel (PD, LGD, EAD) and/or Non-Basel models (Originations, Account Management, Collections.)   - Good knowledge of Model management and model monitoring   - Solid background in Business Intelligence with experience in Risk and familiar with Customer lifecycle/ customer strategy/ CRM  - Hands-on experience in data handling and statistical tools like SQL, SPSS, SAS etc  Other Requirements:   - Strong project management skills required  - Experience in creating resource plan, project plans, project schedule and status reports  - Should be a fast learner and a self starter, open to learning new statistical tools.  - Must possess excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills (both verbal & written)   - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills  - Flexible and adaptable to change and ability to multitask  - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision  Experience:  - Professional analytics experience of at least 7 years, primarily associated with financial services industry  - Banking domain knowledge is required, especially in Risk. Domain knowledge in the areas of marketing, originations, appraisal process, foreclosures, fraud, payment etc will be added advantage  - Experience as a Data Miner in a consulting company is desirable  Educational qualifications:  - Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering. Econometrics, finance, computing, statistics background is desirable  - Post Graduation with courses in decision sciences or statistical techniques desirable  Travel:  - Short term travel will be required
