Please visit our website here for more information.  HR Operations :   Overall purpose of role :   - The purpose of this role is to work across UK Payrolls, handling staff, Business and third party queries relating to pay and daily payroll activity. The role holder is part of a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the monthly running of the payroll and investigation and resolution of any query relating to pay that cannot be resolved by our front line team.  Key Accountabilities :   - Require strong payroll skills with the ability to manually calculate pay and analytical skills to enable case investigation and correction.  - Provide advice, investigation and resolution on all aspects of payroll process/service. Analyse and resolve payroll queries generated by the payroll run, instigated by Line Management, Payees and external bodies including Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions and Courts of Law.  - Run technical tasks/reports within SAP to support the creation of the monthly payroll gross to net. Provide advice and guidance to support annual delivery of statutory documentation e.g. P11Ds, P60s  - Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks and controls complying with audit and external statutory reporting requirements.  - Reconciliation and processing of financials.  - Calculation, payment and reporting on ex-pat staff that reside either in the UK or oversees, taking into consideration individual fees/salary arrangements  - Required to work in a culture of high governance and critical timelines.   Risk and Control Objective:  All Barclays colleagues have toensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and Barclays Policies and Policy Standards  Person Specification :   Skills :  - In depth knowledge of UK Payroll legislation, calculations and processes both standard and specific to company where internal policy/dispensations apply.  - In depth working knowledge of IT systems to include SAP, Excel and Word.  - Case management, problem solving,accuracy and attention to detail.  - Ability to work under pressure with the ability to meet strict deadlines.  - Manual calculation of salaries/allowances and various absences including sickness, maternity, paternity and career breaks, with the ability to identify the correct data applicable to the case in hand to achieve the highest level of accuracy  Education & Experience :   Essential :   - Require strong communication skills  - Strong payroll skills with the ability to manually calculate pay and analytical skills to enable case investigation and correction  - Experience of HR systems and shaping new procedures and exchanging best practice to improve advisors and customer experience  Preferred :   - Ability to complete or advise on completion of high volume routine/non-routine tasks and prioritise accordingly  - Work to identify continuous improvement and trends with the ability to make recommendations where service improvement/change is necessary  - Workflow time management experience  Shift Timings :  - Needs to work during UK hours and as per UK holiday calendar  The Benefits :Our customers deserve the best.
