Position Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on, shop-floor-first Production leaders who will take full end-to-end ownership of our Rigid and Flexible plastic recycling lines. This is a genuine turnaround role - not a process-maintenance position. You will help us rebuild production discipline, drive line reliability, and establish a culture of operational excellence grounded in Toyota Production System (TPS) principles.
Function: Factory Operations
Level: Sr. Manager / Head
Location: Pashamylaram, Hyderabad
Openings: 2 Positions
Reports To: COO
Type: Full-time
WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
Production Execution:
- Own weekly and monthly production targets across Rigids and Flexibles lines - translate sales commitments into executable daily schedules.
- Run tight daily production huddles with shift supervisors, drive accountability through visible tracking of throughput, yield, uptime, and losses.
- Manage line changeovers and schedule coordination with SCM on RM availability.
- Ensure ERP / production data is accurate, complete, and timely - every shift.
Yield & Quality:
- Own machine utilization and production yield as primary KPIs; investigate every variance within 24 hours.
- Partner with the Quality team to enforce in-line SPC, first-pass compliance, and minimize finished goods rejections.
- Lead root cause analysis on quality failures; drive corrective actions to closure.
- Make losses visible and attributable - by machine, shift, and raw material lot.
Maintenance-First Discipline
- Operate a strict Maintenance-First philosophy: every machine must have a signed-off maintenance checklist before it runs.
- Partner closely with the Maintenance HOD to plan and protect preventive maintenance (PM) windows - PM is never optional.
- Track machine-level downtime and reliability; flag deteriorating trends before they break down.
Cost & Resource Efficiency
- Manage contract labor headcount efficiently; eliminate idle man-hours through meticulous planning and schedule adherence.
- Drive variable power and consumable costs through throughput optimization and eliminating idle running.
- Actively participate in our operational excellence program - implement and sustain Kaizen actions.
Team & Safety
- Directly manage shift supervisors, process leads, and operators across lines.
- Build a culture of structured escalation, rapid problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Enforce safety compliance with zero tolerance - lead from the front.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- Consistent monthly production volumes delivered on time, every month.
- Line utilization consistently above target with minimal unplanned downtime.
- Measurable improvement in yield metrics and reduction in process losses quarter-on-quarter.
- A self-sufficient shift team that does not need the HOD to run a clean shift.
- Cost of production on a steady downward trajectory.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Must-Have:
- 8-15 years of progressive production leadership in continuous process manufacturing plastics, polymer processing, FMCG packaging, chemicals, or comparable high-throughput operations.
- A floor-first leader - you have personally stood on the shop floor and driven production through crises, not managed from a desk.
- Proven track record of owning and delivering monthly/quarterly production volume targets.
- Working knowledge of extrusion, washing, or pelletizing processes - or directly comparable continuous process operations.
- Strong grasp of OEE, yield analysis, loss attribution, and shift accountability systems.
- Practical experience with Lean / TPS / TPM: 5S, Kaizen, SMED, visual management.
- Ability to build and manage multilingual operator teams, fluency in Telugu or Hindi preferred.
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Polymer, or Industrial Engineering.
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior experience in plastic recycling or post-consumer waste processing.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Exposure to structured daily management systems (DMS) or Gemba-walk disciplines.
THE MINDSET WE HIRE FOR:
- Hustler with grit - you find a way, not an excuse.
- Owner mentality - production numbers are yours, not your team's.
- Maintenance-obsessive - machines must be maintained before they are run, every single time.
- Data-driven - you trust numbers, verify on the floor, and question gut feel.
- Coach-first - your operators and supervisors grow stronger every quarter you're here.
- Radically transparent - you report what is real, escalate early, and never hide a problem.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Competitive compensation with performance-linked variable pay tied to OKR achievement.
- Direct access to senior leadership with fast career progression in a scaling organization.
- A mission-driven company where operational excellence directly translates to environmental impact on a scale.
