Job Description for Events & Community Manager.

With its advanced AI and ML-driven platform, BambooBox helps companies deliver untapped marketing intelligence to business teams and increase the marketing contribution to the overall revenue.
We work with clients like Airtel Business, Darwinbox, Acalvio, and os.
We are backed by investors such as Peak XV (earlier Sequoia Surge), Emergent Ventures, and Arc180.
We are currently scaling the organization and are in a high-growth phase.
About the role:
- The Events & Community Manager will be responsible for building, nurturing, and scaling a high-engagement community through thoughtfully curated events-both online and offline.
- This role sits at the intersection of brand, experience, and relationships, ensuring that every interaction strengthens trust, loyalty, and advocacy.
Functional Requirements:
Events Management:
- Plan and execute end-to-end events including meetups, workshops, conferences, webinars, and community activations.
- Own event calendars, budgets, vendors, logistics, and post-event analysis.
- Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, and leadership teams to align events with business goals.
- Manage speakers, sponsors, and external partners.
- Ensure seamless on-ground and virtual event experiences.
Community Building:
- Build and manage engaged online and offline communities (Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, etc.
- Design initiatives that drive participation, retention, and advocacy.
- Act as the primary point of contact for community members.
- Identify and nurture community champions, ambassadors, and super-users.
- Collect community feedback and translate insights into actionable improvements.
Content & Engagement:
- Create event-related and community-first content (posts, newsletters, recaps, announcements).
- Work closely with content and social teams to amplify community stories.
- Measure engagement and continuously experiment with formats and experiences.
Metrics & Reporting:
- Track and report on event ROI, attendance, engagement, and community growth metrics.
- Use data and feedback to refine strategies and improve experiences.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience managing both virtual and in-person events.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Data-driven mindset with a strong bias for experimentation.
- Passion for building authentic communities.
Qualifications:.
- 3-6 years of experience in events, community management, marketing, or brand roles.
- Experience working with startups, tech companies, or creator ecosystems preferred.
- Familiarity with community platforms and event tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during events.
