Role Summary:
Bajaj Housing Finance Limited (BHFL), a premier subsidiary of Bajaj Finance Limited with a customer base exceeding 110 million, is seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to lead our Pune-based sales operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will architect and execute robust sales plans to drive revenue growth across our diverse financial portfolio, including home loans, commercial space financing, and loans against property.
You will act as a mentor and technical lead for the sales team, leveraging deep market analysis to align strategies with shifting financial trends. Your primary focus will be on building high-value relationships and ensuring operational excellence by collaborating across departments to meet the companys ambitious business expansion objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive, strategic sales plans to meet and exceed BHFLs organizational revenue objectives.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Oversee and manage the sales team, providing active mentoring and coaching to drive high performance and professional growth.
- Portfolio Management: Drive sales across diverse financial products, including housing loans, renovation finance, and lease rental discounting.
- Relationship Management: Identify specific customer needs and build long-term, sustainable relationships to ensure high customer retention and satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to proactively align sales strategies with the current financial landscape.
- Business Expansion: Proactively identify new business opportunities and expansion strategies in the Pune region to increase market share.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless operational workflows and a cohesive customer experience.
- Performance Monitoring: Track team productivity and sales targets, providing regular detailed reports and insights to senior management.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead high-stakes negotiations and support the team in closing complex commercial and developer financing deals.
- Operational Integrity: Ensure all sales activities comply with BHFLs standards of excellence and the regulatory requirements associated with our AAA/Stable ratings.
Technical Requirements:
- Financial Product Expertise: In-depth knowledge of housing finance, Loans Against Property (LAP), and commercial construction financing.
- Sales Performance: A proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding ambitious sales targets in a target-driven environment.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong skills in market analysis and the use of data to inform business expansion strategies.
- Core Education: A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
- Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability to implement effective sales strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Qualification: An MBA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
- Interpersonal Excellence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- NBFC Experience: Prior experience within a diversified Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) or a similar retail lending environment.
- Leadership Depth: Strong ability to work independently and proactively lead teams through complex market cycles.
- Developer Financing Knowledge: Understanding of the technicalities involved in residential and commercial developer construction projects.
