Role

The Business Head will be responsible for leading, developing, and scaling the syndication business from the scratch within the Commercial Lending vertical, Bajaj Finance Limited. The job involves origination of syndication transactions and ensuring end-to-end execution while maintaining strong risk and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive origination of syndication opportunities across corporate and mid corporate clients

- Build and manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, FIs, wealth partners, and other capital providers.

- Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities aligned with business targets and convert the same.

- Coordinate end-to-end syndication execution, including lender onboarding, approvals, and disbursement

- Ensure deals meet risk, compliance, and credit policy frameworks

- Develop and execute strategy for expanding the syndication business

- Identify new market opportunities, product ideas, and partnership models

- Drive P&L ownership, portfolio performance, and business sustainability

- Collaborate closely with Credit, Risk, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and Product teams

- Act as a senior relationship owner for key clients and lending partners

- Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements.

- Drive process excellence and quality standards across the syndication lifecycle

Experience:

- 18 to 20 years of experience in banking and finance, including at least 10 years of focused experience in syndication, structured finance, corporate lending, or investment banking.

- Demonstrated strong track record of originating, structuring, and successfully closing large-ticket syndicated transactions.
