Role Overview:
As a Relationship Manager - Commercial Lending, you will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of commercial lending clients, primarily focusing on SMEs and mid-sized corporates. You will work closely with credit risk, operations, and product teams to structure and deliver customized financing solutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of the commercial lending business by acquiring new clients, deepening existing relationships, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source new-to-Bajaj relationships within the Commercial Emerging Corporate segment, Prior experience in managing corporate client relationships is preferred.
- Build and manage a diversified portfolio, generating revenue through assets (NII), fees, and cross-sell opportunities. Ensure asset sourcing aligns with prescribed lending norms and policies.
- Assess clients financial strength, provide advisory support, and structure credit facilities that meet client requirements while adhering to internal policy guidelines.
- Maintain a strong focus on credit quality by closely monitoring sourced accounts, tracking customer business performance, identifying early warning signals, and initiating timely corrective actions to build a robust, non-delinquent portfolio.
- Regularly track performance against agreed key metrics to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor market developments and provide timely insights and feedback to the management team.
- Effectively manage stakeholders by coordinating with both internal teams and external partners.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with commercial clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial lending products, including term loans, working capital facilities, Business Banking Products etc.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to commercial lending.
