REPORTING TO: Head - Supply Chain Finance

TYPE OF ROLE: Individual Contributor Role

LOCATION: Corporate Office, Mumbai.

BU/ DIVISION: Finance

JOB PURPOSE:

To act as the finance co-pilot for Manufacturing and OEM operations by driving cost competitiveness, plant-level P&L governance, outsourced manufacturing economics, working capital optimization and supply chain profitability. The role is responsible for converting cost, efficiency and vendor economics into clear actions that improve margins, strengthen commercial governance and support make-vs buy, sourcing and investment decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Own plant-wise cost of production tracking across material, labour, conversion cost and overheads.

- Review plant-level P&L performance against AOP, forecast and prior year with clear bridges and actions.

- Publish monthly manufacturing finance dashboards highlighting cost drivers, risks and corrective actions.

- Improve visibility of true cost-to-manufacture by product, plant and category.

- Track raw material cost movement, purchase price variance, usage variance and commodity impact.

- Partner sourcing and procurement teams on cost reduction, alternate vendor and substitution opportunities.

- Monitor manufacturing overheads across plants and ensure spends remain within approved budgets.

- Drive zero-based budgeting for controllable factory costs and overhead productivity initiatives.

- Monitor scrap, rejection, rework, yield loss, and process inefficiency at plant and product level.

- Evaluate plant-level capex proposals with payback, IRR, capacity utilization, and benefit assumptions.

- Analyze OEM partner profitability, cost structures, margins and commercial viability.

- Build should-cost models for key products and components to validate supplier quotes and OEM pricing.

- Review OEM contracts, pricing structures, escalation clauses, payment terms and commercial obligations.

- Evaluate make-vs-buy decisions with full cost comparison, capacity impact, working capital and risk assessment.

- Optimize OEM and vendor payment terms, inventory exposure and working capital deployment.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Chartered Accountant / CMA / MBA Finance from a reputed institute. Strong costing and commercial finance orientation is essential.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

- 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing finance, supply chain finance, operations finance, plant finance, sourcing finance, or commercial finance.

PREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

- Costing, Margin analytics, PVM / cost bridges, Should-cost modelling, Make-vs-buy analysis, Financial modelling.

- Advanced Excel and Power BI.

- SAP FI/CO, COPA, Material Ledger, inventory, and procurement modules.

INTERNAL / EXTERNAL INTERFACE:

- Internal: Manufacturing, Plant Heads, Procurement, Sourcing, OEM Management, Supply Chain, Category Teams.
