Consultant Insights and Strategy Role Purpose : Spearheads specific projects and creates reports and presentation articulating the opportunity/ solution from a general insurance business perspective. Provide forward-looking analyses of insurance regulatory horizons, industry pain points, and business opportunities. To identify and research on critical emerging areas to identify key business opportunities, develop and articulate the associated use cases and business value, and drive engagements with internal and external stakeholders to create strategies for business. Roles & Responsibilities : 1. Business Planning and Strategy - Track changing business environment for General Insurance business and identify opportunities for change, growth, products, profitability, etc. - Conduct detailed market study, competition study, and corelate with company business to target business via specific channels/ geographies/ segments. - Shortlist high potential areas based on regulatory changes, market intelligence, population density, customer segments and by leveraging inputs from internal teams (sales channels, geography, underwriting, product, finance, claims) to develop detailed business strategy and plan - Evolve and document strategy & execution plans which can act as a guideline for internal teams and channel partners 2. Collaboration with internal teams & external stakeholders - Work with Line Of Business & channel teams to understand line specific impact and adjust plans to their context - Participate in short, medium and long term planning exercises with internal teams - Participate in discussions with regulatory bodies, internal & external legal/compliance/finance teams & advisors - Gather feedback and inputs from agents, brokers, bancassurance partners, etc to incorporate in overall execution plans 3. Presentation & advisory - Create & publish reusable presentations, research reports and explanatory documents that can be used by management, teams and partners to understand & explain inferences, implications and company policy & execution guidelines e.g. new product guidelines, open architecture - Participate in select channel meetings to present and advise on above implications - Conduct workshops to understand issues, brainstorm on solutions and ideate 4. Impact measurement & reporting - Define clear criteria for measurement of progress and success - Review and publish reports on impact of execution strategy, remedial actions required and aggregated feedback - Understand ongoing challenges from various teams and review with head of consulting & management teams to devise corrective plans
