Role Overview:

- Manage cost accounting, MIS reporting, and financial controls within an FMCG environment

- Ensure accurate closure of books, compliance, and cost optimization across operations

- Support management with financial insights, budgeting, and variance analysis

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze MIS reports on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis

- Ensure timely and accurate closure of books of accounts

- Maintain data accuracy and control including trailization and monthly entry closures

- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for finance and cost accounting processes

- Work extensively on SAP or related ERP modules for accounting and reporting

- Handle product costing and cost analysis for FMCG products

- Manage statutory compliances including GST, TDS, and other applicable regulations

- Perform ratio analysis and provide insights for management decision-making

- Prepare budgets and conduct variance analysis against actuals

- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and statutory amendments

- Lead and manage a finance/accounts team effectively

- Timely and accurate MIS reporting and book closures

- Effective cost control and optimization across products and operations

- Accuracy and reliability of financial data in SAP

Required Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in the FMCG sector

- Hands-on experience in MIS preparation and financial reporting

- Strong exposure to SAP finance or costing modules

- Proven experience in handling book closures and compliance matters

- Experience managing and leading finance teams

Skill Sets & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and product costing

- Expertise in MIS, budgeting, and variance analysis

- In-depth understanding of accounting ratios and financial analysis

- Proficiency in SAP and ERP-based accounting systems

- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail

- Strong documentation and SOP development skills

- Leadership and team management abilities

- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory amendments

Educational Qualification:

- Cost Accountant (CMA) - Mandatory
