Role Overview:

We are hiring a B2B Product & Category Manager to lead a zero-to-one product portfolio for office, institutional, and commercial furniture solutions. This is a core product ownership role, focused on building scalable, specification-led B2B furniture categoriesnot a catalogue management or operations role.

The incumbent will own the entire product lifecycle, from concept and sourcing to launch and scale, with full accountability for category P&L, margins, and market success. The goal is to create products that architects, PMCs, and corporate buyers actively specify by name.

Key Responsibilities:

Category & Product Strategy:

Build, launch, and scale B2B furniture categories including:

- Workstations & modular systems

- Seating (task, executive, visitor)

- Conference & collaboration furniture

- Storage & institutional solutions

- Define category vision, roadmap, and differentiation aligned to B2B customer needs.

- Identify white spaces and unmet requirements across corporate, institutional, and commercial segments.

End-to-End Product Ownership:

Own the full product development lifecycle:

- Concept Design Sourcing Costing Prototyping Launch Scale

- Work closely with design, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver commercially viable products.

- Ensure products meet ergonomic, durability, compliance, and performance standards.

Commercial & P&L Management:

- Own category P&L, including pricing strategy, margins, and cost optimization.

- Define assortment architecture and SKU rationalization for scale and profitability.

- Balance design excellence with business viability and operational feasibility.

Specification-Led Growth:

- Develop products tailored for architects, PMCs, corporate buyers, and project-based sales.

- Enable specification selling through strong product documentation, samples, and technical data.

- Partner with sales and marketing to drive adoption in large B2B projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, sourcing, design, and supply chain teams.

- Support key client pitches, project discussions, and custom requirements where needed.

- Act as the single point of ownership for category decisions and trade-offs.

Key Performance Areas (KRAs):

- Successful launch and scale-up of new B2B furniture categories

- Category revenue, margin, and P&L performance

- Product adoption in architect / PMC-led projects

- Time-to-market and product development efficiency

- Supplier performance and cost optimization

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Must-Have:

68 years of experience in product or category management within:

- Office furniture

- Institutional furniture

- Commercial interiors or B2B furniture brands

- Strong understanding of materials, ergonomics, manufacturing processes, and finishes

- Proven experience owning end-to-end product development

- Commercially sharp with strong business and pricing acumen

Good-to-Have:

- Experience working with global or international suppliers

- Exposure to large-scale B2B or institutional projects

- Familiarity with design-led, specification-driven product environments

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong product ownership and decision-making ability

- Business-driven mindset with refined design sensibility

- Ability to operate in zero-to-one, high-ambiguity environments

- Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional collaboration skills

- Structured thinker with execution rigor
