Job Description:

The ideal candidate will help to solve complex business problems from strategy to execution. The skills and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

Strategy:

- Conduct Research and compile data/information on various topics as needed to support decision making related to the growth strategy of the company as well as to optimise the operational performance of the existing portfolio

- Gather market and competitive intelligence to prepare and regularly update the competitive landscape

- Provide business analytic strength by analysing large amounts of data to help drive strategic initiatives and provide insights for business leaders to support strategic decision-making

- Work with core business teams to streamline business and operation processes

- Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive business decisions

- Draft and iterate short and long-term strategy proposals for the business unit

- Prepare materials for meetings including agendas, presentation & reports and MoM to track action points

- Help to analyze the regulatory landscape for the RE industry

- Help to streamline the procurement processes to streamline vendor selection while delivery higher cost efficiency

Program Management:

- Collaborate with various functional teams for planning and hands-on execution of specific projects.

- Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives, and drive alignment with cross-functional teams across the organization by developing detailed project plans with activity-based milestones

- Maintain organizational standards of quality and performance

- Analyse, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders

Problem solving:

- Address execution hurdles by implementing creative and cost-effective solutions to overcome operational, financial or logistical challenges

- Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement, asset management, and project execution, ensuring steady progress of the critical projects.

- Anticipate commercial, operational, logistical and process related bottlenecks and develop proactive strategies to ensure progress and efficiency across projects

- Actively anticipate and mitigate communication gaps or procedural delays between stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of output

Required Skills:

- Experience - Pre-MBA experience in the infrastructure sector would be preferred

- Education - MBA (preferably finance and/or strategy), preferably with Engineering

- Excellent Excel (including VBA preferably) and Powerpoint skills for effective analysis and making a business case

- Knowledge of Python will be an added advantage

- Confident communicator - conversational and business communication

Preferred Skills:

- MBA from a premier B school

- Pre-MBA experience in the infrastructure space

- Fundamental understanding of renewable energy projects, especially Solar and Wind; versed with key determinants in a new/renewable energy project concept and development

- Understanding of India's renewable energy regulatory landscape, governing institutions - MNRE, SECI, MoP, CERC, CEA, POSOCO etc. and the business landscape
