Role Overview

As Financial Controller, you will be the financial steward of Axis My India, responsible for safeguarding the companys fiscal health, driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and enabling data-driven decision-making. This is a high-impact leadership role directly reporting to the CMD and offering significant scope for strategic contribution and capital stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to align with corporate goals and growth strategies.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards (Ind-AS), and internal policies.

Risk & Capital Management:

- Monitor and manage financial risks while leading initiatives for capital raisingincluding equity, debt, FDI, ECB, and capital market instruments.

Treasury & Working Capital Management:

- Optimize cash flow, oversee investments, and manage banking relationships for liquidity and returns.

Cost & Efficiency Control:

- Drive cost optimization and financial efficiency across business units.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance:

- Manage direct and indirect taxation, ensure GST/TDS/IT filings, and liaison with regulatory bodies.

Governance & Internal Controls:

- Strengthen internal controls, audit frameworks, and corporate governance practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Present financial performance, forecasts, and key insights to board members, investors, and senior management.

Leadership & Team Development:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, fostering a high-performance and compliant culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in market research, retail, or FMCG industries.

- Demonstrated success in capital raising through primary/secondary markets, IPOs, or international financing routes (FDI/ECB).

- Deep expertise in financial reporting, accounting principles, and compliance.

- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate across departments.

- Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.

- Prior experience in working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
