Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented PMO professional with 10-15 years of experience in managing and supporting large-scale wind and solar EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience overseeing multiple parallel projects, including civil works, electrical Balance of Plant (BoP), transmission lines, and pooling substations. This role requires strong skills in project governance, contract management, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in permits, budgeting, and reporting.
Project Governance & Oversight:
- Implement standardized project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Monitor key project metrics-cost, schedule, quality, and risk-to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Conduct periodic project reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Contractual & Commercial Management:
- Interpret and manage EPC contracts and related agreements.
- Track contractual obligations, risks, and deviations.
- Participate in contract negotiations and recommend clause revisions to safeguard project interests.
- Align execution with contractual commitments and address variations proactively.
- Multi-Project Execution
Manage and support multiple projects across:
- Civil works - site preparation, foundations, roads
- Electrical BoP - 33kV lines, unitized substation (USS) works
- Transmission infrastructure - 220kV and above
- Pooling substations - end-to-end design, procurement, and commissioning
- Cross-Functional Coordination
Engage with various internal departments:
- Engineering - for design validation and technical compliance
- Procurement - for vendor coordination and material planning
- Finance - for cost monitoring, invoicing, and budgeting
- Legal - for contract review and dispute resolution
- EPC Execution Teams - for field-level implementation
- Corporate Affairs - for compliance reporting and board submissions
Permits & Regulatory Approvals:
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to obtain necessary permits.
- Monitor timelines and approvals for land acquisition, environment, grid connectivity, and construction.
- Ensure end-to-end compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
Prepare and maintain:
- DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) for internal/external stakeholders
- MIS (Management Information System) reports for performance tracking
- Project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking
- Integrated schedules and dashboards for project monitoring
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management.
Risk & Change Management:
- Identify project risks and support mitigation strategy development.
- Manage change control processes with proper documentation and approvals.
Tools & Process Enhancement:
- Promote effective use of MS Office and project tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Power BI).
- Continuously improve PMO processes to increase efficiency and project success rates.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in wind and solar EPC project execution/support.
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in project management tools and data visualization platforms.
