About Department:
- This a centralized team that will focus on ensuring there is a strong feedback loop of learnings into improvement in practices, models and customer journeys, develop analytics and technological capabilities as a competitive advantage and deepen our focus on training to ensure fraud prevention at the frontline.
- With these objectives in mind, a new department 'Financial Crime Intelligence' has been created with the Fraud Control Unit (FCU) and Digital Transaction Monitoring (DTM) being housed under the FCI department to ensure greater synergies.
About the Role:
- DTM & FCU are permanent members of PMC / CMC Committee and reviews & approves changes in any product / process of the Bank from Fraud Risk perspective.
As "Team Lead" of the PMC / CMC process, the applicant shall be responsible for the following:
- To review & evaluate the CMC notes for proposed projects / initiatives / changes being initiated in the Bank.
- To assess the potential impact, risks & benefits of proposed changes before the final sign-off is provided by FCI.
- To analyze past fraud / irregularity trends and suggest developing robust control measures through refinement of process by stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the Bank to ensure that all recommendations of FCI are implemented in the product / changes being proposed.
- Be well conversant with relevant statues, knowledge of RBI circulars and policies.
- Evaluate tech tools available to ensure that the product journeys are enriched from time to time.
- Establish and manage regular cadences with various stakeholders with an intent to share learnings and/or for closure of any actionable or project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment of the Proposed process with the Banks overall strategic goals & objectives.
- Assess the potential impact, risks & benefits of proposed changes in the CMC note.
- Discuss & get the risk mitigation strategies implemented by the note initiator.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while evaluating the note.
- Engage with note initiator/ product Team to ensure the concerns / observations in the note are addressed before final signoff.
- Communicate effectively with note initiator / Product team & other stakeholders wherever required.
- Provide regular updates and reports to Senior Management.
- Adhere to the timelines and ensure timely signoff of the CMC note.
- Evaluate Open checks and controls recorded on evolve and ensure the product owner has satisfactorily addressed the open point highlighted during the sign off.
- Evaluate Pre CMC note and propose changes to address any potential risks associated with the change initiative.
Qualifications
- Additional Certificate course related to Banking sector.
- Sound experience of Banking products & processes.
Role Proficiencies:
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms.
- Good communication (both verbal and written) and liaising skills.
- Proficiency in MS-Excel & PowerPoint to conduct analysis and prepare reports / presentations.
- Ability to manage complex situations.
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
