Key Accountabilities: 1. To create and improve compliance standards and culture across the organization: a. ensuring that the policy laid down by the organization is strictly followed and adhered to by all department members and that the messaging and the behavior of the organization reflect the rule and regulations of the company. b. It involves designing compliance plans, guiding and educating the management and staff on compliance matters, updating knowledge on recent regulatory changes, and responding in case of government investigations. c. Also, Operational risk reviews including self-certifications and tests are carried out to ensure concurrent checks and reduce chances of failure. 2. Plan and conduct internal audit checks across verticals: yearly planning of the audit calendar, including preparing checklist, focus areas, methodology, and implementation. The role is also responsible for the timely closure of the findings with proper evidence. 3. Responsibility to conduct periodic risk committee reviews with detailed updates on regulatory changes and audit/risk highlights. 4. Role is responsible to engage and manage RBI relationships, including timely report filing and seeking clarification on various regulatory aspects. 5. Maintaining documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes, also to bring them to closure internally. Key Stakeholders: 1. Senior management 2. Internal and external auditors 3. Business and lending partners 4. Regulators including RBI 5. Monthly risk review forums (risk-related board committees) Our Ideal Candidate 1. Minimum 3+ years in Regulatory compliance. 2. Hands-on with respect to KYC/AML and implementation of Fair Practices Code, Customer Due Diligence, Customer Grievance Redressal Mechanism, etc 3. Strong relationship with regulators and relevant ecosystem, including the ability to connect and liaison with senior officials. 4. Market Knowledge: Detailed understanding of emerging trends in digital lending and ability to shape regulators' views on new regulations. 5. Exceptional communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills with multicultural awareness and sensitivity. 6. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
