The VP Operations will be responsible for delivering the operational performance of the India facilities located at Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Senior team of managers will report into this position which in turn will report to the Managing Director This is a senior position in the organization and has multi-functional coverage - across the functions of Production, Production Planning & Control, Engineering Services, Environment, Health & Safety & Purchase, with the respective heads reporting in to him. The role demands a good grasp over continuous process operations and plant management to lead and manage the India-based business towards specified targets. Job Responsibilities: - Effectively manage the multi-location operations across the value chain - Production, Production Planning, Engineering Services, Supply Chain etc. - Operations Management and Optimization through budgeting, planning, processes, technology, cost orientation and thorough understanding of customer requirements. - Conduct monthly operational performance review and prepare an MIS with the analysis & recommendations for improvement of the same, for the appraisal of the senior management. - Through regular reviews with functional heads, ensure compliance & sustenance of the different management systems so as to ensure the upkeep of Global standards and good manufacturing practices. - People management. Development of key managers, implementation of a strong process, quality and customer-oriented culture; inspiring the operational workforce - Contribution towards Business Strategy framework for the company; engaging in new business initiatives. - In close coordination with the R&D team, ensure a time-bound scale-up of all new products that are due for transition from the R&D / Pilot plant approval stage to the next level of commercial scale production. - Ensure cordial employee relations. Coach, mentor, motivate and direct the different operation functional teams and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
