About the role:

We are looking for an experienced AVP - Finance to take ownership of the company's finance function and partner closely with the Founder, CXOs and senior leadership team on financial planning, business performance, profitability, cash flows and strategic decision-making.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on finance leadership role for a finance professional who can combine strong FP&A and business finance capabilities with financial discipline, commercial thinking and process building.

As the company scales, the role will have the opportunity to progressively take on broader finance leadership and grow toward a VP Finance / CFO position.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Business Performance:

- Own AOP, annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.

- Build financial models for business planning and strategic decisions.

- Drive revenue, cost, margin, profitability and cash-flow forecasting.

- Lead budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual reviews.

- Identify key business and financial performance drivers.

- Build scenario and sensitivity analyses for critical decisions.

Finance Business Partnering:

- Partner closely with the Founder, CXOs and Business Heads.

- Translate business plans and operational metrics into financial outcomes.

- Provide insights on growth, profitability, margins, costs and resource allocation.

- Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, expansion and investments.

- Challenge business assumptions through data-driven analysis.

MIS & Management Reporting:

- Own monthly MIS and management reporting for senior leadership.

- Develop dashboards covering revenue, margins, costs, profitability, cash flows and business KPIs.

- Drive monthly performance reviews and explain key variances.

- Convert financial data into clear, actionable business insights.

Financial Analysis & Modelling:

- Build models for forecasting, profitability analysis and investment decisions.

- Analyse P&L, unit economics, cost structures and margin drivers.

- Develop what-if and sensitivity analyses.

- Support strategic decisions through robust financial evaluation.

Cash Flow & Working Capital:

- Lead cash-flow forecasting and working-capital planning.

- Monitor receivables, payables, inventory and cash conversion.

- Identify liquidity and cash-flow risks.

- Drive initiatives to improve working-capital efficiency.

Financial Reporting & Controls:

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Partner with the accounting team on closing, reconciliations and reporting.

- Strengthen financial controls, processes and governance.

- Maintain strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.

Capex & Investment Planning:

- Evaluate major capex and investment proposals.

- Build investment cases and return analysis.

- Track capex budgets vs. actuals.

- Support leadership in prioritising investments based on financial and strategic returns.

Finance Function Building:

- Build scalable finance processes and operating mechanisms.

- Standardise budgeting, forecasting, MIS and reporting.

- Improve financial data quality, automation and reporting efficiency.

- Establish clear KPIs, ownership and review mechanisms.

- Strengthen finance systems and dashboards as the business scales.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the existing finance team.

- Build and scale the finance team as the organization grows.

- Develop strong finance talent and create clear ownership across planning, reporting, accounting and analysis.

What We're Looking For:

- 8 - 15 years of relevant finance experience.

- Strong background across FP&A, Business Finance, Financial Reporting and Analysis.

- Strong hands-on experience in AOP, budgeting and forecasting.

- Excellent financial modelling and analytical capabilities.

- Strong understanding of P&L, profitability, cost structures and business drivers.

- Experience in MIS, management reporting and variance analysis.

- Sound understanding of accounting, financial reporting and controls.

- Exposure to cash-flow and working-capital management.

- Experience partnering with Founders, CXOs and Business Heads.

- Exposure to capex, investment evaluation and strategic decision-making.

- Experience building/improving finance processes in a growing organization.

- Strong commercial acumen, communication and problem-solving skills.

- Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced, founder-led environment.

- Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
