Operations & Strategy Analyst - Indonesia

Role Overview:

We are looking for a high-performing Operations Analyst to support the organisation's activities in Indonesia. The role will have broad exposure across operations, finance, sales, HR, business development and strategic initiatives, and will work closely with teams across the organisation.

The position will be responsible for analysing and improving business processes, coordinating cross-functional activities, supporting management initiatives and providing analytical and operational assistance across the Indonesia business.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working across functions, managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of projects from analysis through to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and execution.

- Develop recommendations for process improvements and support their implementation.

- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Sales and other departments to ensure effective execution of cross-functional initiatives.

- Prepare business analyses, reports, presentations and other materials to support management decision-making.

- Support strategic and operational projects across the Indonesia business.

- Conduct market, commercial and industry research as required.

- Assist with fundraising activities, investor relations and the development of investor and business networks.

- Support interactions with external advisors, consultants, professional firms and other stakeholders.

- Assist with commercial, contractual and regulatory matters, working with internal and external legal resources where appropriate.

- Support management in evaluating new opportunities and initiatives.

- Undertake other analytical, operational and project-based responsibilities as business requirements evolve.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for an intelligent, commercially minded and highly adaptable individual who enjoys working across different areas of a business.

The ideal candidate will have:

- An MBA from a Tier I or Tier II business school, or an equivalent combination of academic and professional experience.

- Approximately 2 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations. Experience in investment banking, private equity/venture capital or a similar environment is appreciated, but not mandatory.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and business analysis.

- The ability to work effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.

- A high degree of initiative, ownership and attention to detail.

- An interest in business law, corporate matters or regulatory issues. Legal Experience is preferred but not Mandatory.

- Consultancy experience or exposure to cross-functional business projects is an advantage.

The position is based in Jakarta and requires the successful candidate to relocate to and work from Indonesia for a minimum period of two years.

Prior knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage. Candidates must, however, demonstrate a genuine willingness to learn Bahasa Indonesia and develop sufficient proficiency to operate effectively in the local business environment.

Reporting & Working Relationships:

The Operations Analyst will report directly to the VP - Finance & Operations, based offshore, while working closely on a day-to-day basis with the HR, Finance, Sales and other functional teams in Indonesia.

The role will require regular coordination across functions and the ability to work effectively with both local teams and regional management.
