Role Overview:

The Associate Manager for Indirect Procurement will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives and managing non-production spend across the organization. Based in Gurugram, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline procurement processes, and ensure high-quality vendor performance. You will act as a key partner to internal business units, ensuring that all procurement activities align with global standards while delivering tangible value to the bottom line through effective category management and rigorous contract oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute end-to-end sourcing projects for indirect categories, ensuring alignment with business requirements and budget constraints.

- Lead complex RFP processes, including vendor selection, commercial evaluation, and final contract negotiations to secure optimal pricing and service levels.

- Implement robust cost control measures by analyzing spend data and identifying opportunities for process excellence and efficiency improvements.

- Manage vendor relationships through periodic performance reviews, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and corporate policies.

- Conduct comprehensive market research to stay ahead of industry trends, price fluctuations, and emerging technologies that could impact procurement strategies.

- Oversee the full lifecycle of contract management, ensuring all legal and commercial terms are documented and adhered to by both internal and external parties.

- Drive cross-functional collaboration to harmonize procurement practices and support the adoption of global sourcing tools and frameworks.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing indirect procurement categories with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market data and financial reports, enabling data-driven decision-making in sourcing and negotiation.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at various levels and manage vendor partnerships effectively.

- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts to mitigate organizational risk.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment, balancing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

- A postgraduate degree in Management or a related field, complemented by 5 to 10 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain functions.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate procurement strategies and outcomes to senior leadership clearly.
