Job Description:

Aventior is looking for a Team Lead AI to manage customer-facing AI and analytics engagements from initial discovery through project delivery and ongoing improvement. The role focuses on understanding business requirements, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring AI initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate should have strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills, along with a working understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI concepts. This role emphasizes business alignment and delivery management rather than hands-on AI development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead customer discovery sessions, stakeholder meetings, and workshops to understand business goals, requirements, challenges, and expected outcomes.

- Translate business needs into clear project requirements, deliverables, acceptance criteria, priorities, and measurable success metrics.

- Coordinate with AI engineers, data scientists, data engineers, software developers, QA, DevOps, and business teams to ensure smooth project execution.

- Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, dependencies, and delivery commitments.

- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, maintaining clear communication and managing expectations throughout the engagement.

- Coordinate proof-of-concept demonstrations, project reviews, user acceptance testing, customer feedback, and final sign-off.

- Track project progress, identify risks and blockers, maintain action logs, and escalate issues with appropriate mitigation plans.

- Work with technical teams to assess project feasibility and communicate solution options, limitations, costs, and business implications to stakeholders.

- Monitor delivery quality and agreed business KPIs to ensure projects meet customer expectations and business objectives.

- Support backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and coordination of deliverables in Agile project environments.

- Lead, mentor, and support team members through work allocation, feedback, performance discussions, and knowledge sharing.

- Coordinate with leadership on resource requirements, project priorities, and delivery planning.

- Ensure appropriate documentation, data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI considerations are addressed.

- Gather post-launch feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous enhancement of project delivery processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in AI/ML projects, data science, technology delivery, analytics, or a related field.

- Minimum 2 years of team leadership, project leadership, or workstream management experience.

- Experience in customer-facing or stakeholder-facing roles, including requirement gathering and expectation management.

- Strong understanding of project planning, scope management, resource coordination, risk management, and delivery tracking.

- Ability to translate business requirements into clear project plans, deliverables, and measurable KPIs.

- Working knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG concepts to facilitate discussions with technical teams and customers.

- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities and dependencies.

- Strong communication, presentation, documentation, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, resolve delivery challenges, and maintain project alignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in consulting, professional services, or multi-client project delivery.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, sprint planning, and project tracking tools.

- Exposure to AI project lifecycles, cloud-based solutions, data governance, and responsible AI practices.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
