Avener Capital - Debt Syndication Role - Project Finance - Roads & Highways Sector

Avener Capital is the investment banking and advisory franchise of the Avener Group, offering bespoke, value-driven solutions across private equity advisory, M&A (buy-side and sell-side), structured finance, and debt syndication & refinancing. The firm has built deep competencies in infrastructure capital - spanning roads, transmission, renewables, battery storage, e-mobility, solar manufacturing, green hydrogen, gas/thermal, and warehousing.

Transaction Execution (Primary Mandate):

- Lead the end-to-end execution of debt syndication transactions - lender outreach, negotiations, term sheet discussions, due diligence coordination, the sanction process, documentation, and financial closure. Drive transactions through to close with rigour, pace, and ownership of the critical path.

- Prepare and review the full transaction toolkit - Information Memorandums, financial models, credit notes, lender presentations, and transaction updates. Collaborate with legal, technical, and internal execution teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Structuring & Strategic Advisory:

- Structure and syndicate debt across Roads & Highways (HAM / BOT / TOT) and allied infrastructure.

- Advise clients on project finance, acquisition finance, structured debt, refinancing, construction finance, working capital solutions, and capital structure optimisation. Provide guidance on financing strategy, liquidity planning, and funding diversification.

Lender & Investor Relationship Management:

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with banks, NBFCs, infrastructure debt funds, and financial sponsors.

- Understand lender appetite across sectors, structures, and risk profiles, and act as a primary point of contact for lenders on roads and highways financing opportunities.

Client Relationship Management & Origination:

- Build and maintain relationships with infrastructure developers, sponsors, corporates, and promoter groups in the roads and highways ecosystem.

- Contribute to origination by identifying financing opportunities, supporting pitches, and converting relationships into mandates.

Market Intelligence:

- Track sector developments, lender appetite, regulatory changes, and financing trends across the roads and highways sector and allied infrastructure.

- Conduct market mapping, and maintain a strong working understanding of debt markets, infrastructure financing structures, and credit dynamics.

Team Leadership:

- Mentor and guide junior team members and execution analysts. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture, and drive professional development through training, guidance, and active deal exposure.

Sector Focus:

- The role is anchored in roads & highways, with execution exposure across allied infrastructure as transaction flow requires.
