WHAT YOU`LL ACTUALLY DO:

Fundraising & Partnership Development:

- Build and manage relationships that secure funding for our initiatives, including:

- Engaging with CSR leaders at major corporations to align their priorities with our mission.

- Navigating funding landscapes, fostering connections with program officers, and overseeing the creation of compelling proposals.

- Structuring and managing multi-year partnerships with government entities worth substantial financial commitments.

- Exploring innovative funding mechanisms that unlock new resources for impact.

Government Relations & Systems Change:

- Develop genuine relationships with key stakeholders in state education departments, understanding the intricacies of decision-making processes and budget management.

- Represent Avanti on relevant educational committees, advocating for policies that support girls in STEM.

- Manage complex partnerships, coordinating efforts across various governmental and educational bodies to achieve shared goals.

Program Strategy & Delivery:

- Ensure our programs deliver measurable learning gains and adapt to diverse educational contexts, from urban centers to rural areas.

- Design scalable implementation models that uphold quality standards throughout expansion efforts.

- Create feedback loops to continuously improve program effectiveness based on ground realities.

- Oversee budget management, ensuring accountability for both impact and efficiency.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

- Establish clarity of objectives and outcomes for all team members, creating systems that minimize confusion and enhance productivity.

- Support professional development, equipping team members to take on increased responsibilities.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Must-Haves:

Experience:

- 10-15 years in education, development, or the corporate sector, including at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role.

- Demonstrated leadership of large-scale programs in other contexts

- Prior involvement in fundraising

- Experience managing government partnerships, particularly with state education departments.
