Position Summary

Role : Senior Program Manager

Reporting to : Chief Data Officer

Place of Posting : Mumbai - CO

Key Responsibilities

- Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with privacy laws and regulations

- Lead the implementation of data privacy and protection tools across the organization

- Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies

- Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies

- Provide guidance and support to the clients on conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), conducting risk assessments, data governance, application, privacy impact assessments.

- Design and build security / privacy framework, design/re-design processes and privacy controls to ensure framework development

- Recommend creative privacy solutions and participate in discussions regarding the recommendations with various stakeholders, define privacy metrics and corresponding dashboards for monitoring and reporting purposes

- Collaborate with internal teams to raise awareness of data protection policies and practices.

- Stay informed about developments in data protection laws and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.

- Develop records of data processing activities and data protection compliance efforts

Desired Experience and Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, information technology, or a related field.

- CIPT/CIPM/CIPPE or any other related certifications preferred.

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance. Experience in BFSI industry in India will be an added advantage.

- In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
