



Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for multiple Smart Metering projects.
- Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure from the corporate office.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, dependencies, and key deliverables across different project locations.
- Lead project reviews and provide regular updates to senior management and corporate leadership.
- Coordinate with project teams, utilities, vendors, system integrators, technology partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
- Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Drive resolution of critical project issues and escalate matters requiring senior-level intervention.
- Monitor contractual obligations, project performance, commercial aspects, and vendor deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with applicable technical, safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Oversee integration of smart metering systems, communication infrastructure, IT platforms, and associated technologies.
- Drive implementation of best practices, standardization, and process improvements across projects.
- Ensure proper project documentation, reporting, governance, and knowledge management.
- Manage customer and utility relationships and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
- Support business leadership in identifying opportunities and strengthening project execution capabilities.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Smart Metering / AMI / Advanced Metering Infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Strong project planning, execution, governance, and risk management skills.
- Experience managing utilities, DISCOMs, EPC contractors, system integrators, and technology vendors.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management capabilities.
- Good understanding of smart meter deployment, communication networks, HES, MDMS, and system integration.
- Strong commercial and contractual management skills.
- Excellent leadership, decision making, and problem solving abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Senior leadership experience in Smart Metering, Power, Energy, Utilities, or EPC.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple smart meter projects from a corporate/head office environment.
- Strong ability to manage large cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience handling large scale utility projects with complex execution, commercial, and technical requirements.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
