Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and performance-driven Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations and business development activities within a defined geographic area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributor/channel relationships, and leading a team of sales representatives or executives.

You will play a key role in expanding market share, increasing brand visibility, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective field execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.

- Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies in alignment with company goals.

- Lead and manage a team of sales executives, providing guidance, training, and performance monitoring.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, retailers, and key clients.

- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities.

- Ensure proper execution of promotions, product launches, and merchandising initiatives.

- Conduct regular market visits to assess product availability, visibility, and customer feedback.

- Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and present actionable insights to the senior sales team.

- Ensure timely collection of payments and compliance with commercial policies.

- Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and customer service teams for smooth execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- 5 - 7 years of sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a team management or area-level role.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a territory or region.

- Strong knowledge of channel sales, distribution management, and field operations.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
