
Audit & Assurance:
- Manage and execute audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Handle and supervise assignments across Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, IFC, Tax Audit and related assurance services.
- Coordinate with clients for information gathering, audit timelines, deliverables and resolution of queries.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements and maintain effective professional relationships.
- Review financial statements, schedules, working papers and audit documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable standards.
- Identify key audit and reporting risk areas and ensure appropriate audit procedures are undertaken.
- Ensure audit assignments are conducted in accordance with applicable Standards on Auditing, Ind AS, Companies Act requirements and Firm methodologies.
- Review financial reporting and identify accounting, reporting and compliance issues requiring attention.
- Assist in the preparation and finalisation of audit reports and related deliverables.
- Supervise, guide and review the work of team members and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback, on-the-job guidance and technical support to junior team members.
- Work closely with Partners and senior team members on complex and high-value audit assignments.
- Identify opportunities for improving audit processes, methodologies and internal quality controls.
- Support Partners in managing existing client relationships and identifying potential opportunities for cross-selling of other Firm services.
- Prepare or contribute to proposals, presentations and client discussions arising from audit engagements.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a professional who can effectively balance technical audit responsibilities with commercial and business development objectives. The candidate should have:
- Strong experience in Audit & Assurance, preferably with exposure to Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, IFC and Tax Audit.
- Demonstrated ability to develop professional relationships and generate business opportunities.
- Strong client-facing and relationship management capabilities.
- The confidence to participate in business pitches, client meetings and professional networking forums.
- Ability to understand client requirements and identify opportunities across multiple service lines.
- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to convert relationships and leads into business opportunities.
- Ability to independently manage audit assignments while also contributing to business development initiatives.
- Experience in managing and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, Standards on Auditing and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, audit assignments and business development activities.
