Audit Associate - UK Process (R2R) for KPO based in Ahmedabad

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Audit Associate - UK Process with hands-on experience in UK statutory audits and strong Record-to-Report (R2R) exposure. The ideal candidate will have worked with UK audit methodologies, be well-versed in Mercia audit manuals, and capable of independently handling audit assignments for UK clients.

Qualification:

- ACCA or Chartered Accountant (CA)

- Relevant professional training in UK audit preferred

Experience:

- Minimum 2+ years (UK Audit experience mandatory)

- Mandatory: Prior experience in UK Audit

- Strong understanding of: UK statutory audit process R2R cycle UK accounting standards (UK GAAP, FRS 102)

- Hands-on experience using Mercia audit manuals and templates

- Experience working with UK accounting/audit firms or offshore audit teams

- Proficiency in Excel and audit documentation tools

- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills

- Execute UK statutory audit engagements from planning to completion

- Perform R2R activities, including: Trial balance review, Journal entries, Reconciliations (bank, control accounts, intercompany), Month-end and year-end close support

- Prepare and review audit working papers in line with UK GAAP / FRS 102 / FRS 105

- Apply Mercia audit methodology, documentation standards, and compliance requirements

- Perform substantive testing, analytical review, and walkthroughs

- Identify audit issues, draft queries, and communicate effectively with onshore UK teams

- Support audit managers in: Risk assessment, Audit planning

- Completion and clearance of review notes

- Ensure adherence to audit timelines, quality standards, and confidentiality protocols
