
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Manager - Sourcing (Commercial) within Finance will act as the commercial owner for key sourcing categories, linking supplier strategy with Atomberg's financial goals on cost, margins and cash flow. The role will partner closely with Supply Chain, R&D and Operations to drive cost optimization, commercial governance and contract effectiveness for direct and indirect spend.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Commercial Strategy & Cost Management:
- Translate business and P&L targets into sourcing cost-reduction, value-engineering and payment-term improvement plans for key categories.
- Drive annual cost-down, should-cost and benchmarking exercises and ensure realized savings are validated and tracked in finance systems.
- Co-Lead cost saving projects for R&D & sourcing to boost profitability without impacting quality & timeline. Build business cases for make-vs-buy, vendor changes, and CAPEX investments with clear IRR/NPV and payback analysis.
2. Vendor Governance & Commercial Risk Management:
- Establish commercial governance frameworks for strategic suppliers, including pricing frameworks, escalation clauses and risk-sharing mechanisms.
- Monitor financial health, credit exposure and dependency risk for key suppliers and recommend mitigation actions.
- Ensure contracts and POs reflect agreed commercial terms, tax structure, incentives and penalties and are compliant with internal controls.
3. Negotiation, Contracts & Cash-Flow Optimization:
- Lead or support high-value negotiations on price, payment terms, rebates, credit period and volume commitments to improve gross margin and working capital.
MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE:
- 3 - 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement / Commercial Finance / Category Management.
- Strong experience in manufacturing, consumer durables, electronics, automotive, electricals or engineering.
- Hands-on experience managing high-value sourcing categories.
- Strong knowledge of cost breakdown, should-cost modelling, negotiation and supplier economics.
- Experience in contracts, payment terms, working capital and commercial governance.
- Strong Excel/financial analysis skills; ERP/SAP experience would be an advantage.
