The Opportunity: You will fill a critical role in our Product Management organization in Bangalore where you will drive product design and deployment of product services for our clients.

Position Summary:



We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for Patient Matching & Patient Directory to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of core identity management capabilities that power a complete, accurate clinical view of every patient.

In a healthcare system without a national patient identifierand where individuals frequently move, change names, emails, insurance, and care settings, this role is mission-critical.

The accuracy of patient identity data directly impacts patient safety, clinical decision-making, interoperability, and trust across the healthcare ecosystem.

Incomplete or inaccurate patient identity data can lead to serious patient safety risks, including duplicated records, incorrect clinical decisions, missing history, or improper treatment.

As healthcare organizations increasingly exchange data across disparate systems, the need for high-quality, reliable patient matching is greater than ever.

Everyonefrom frontline clinicians to billing teams to population health analystsdepends on the reliability of this information.

This person will own products that ensure every patients information is correctly matched, linked, and accessible across fragmented systems, enabling safe, coordinated care across providers, payers, hospitals, specialists, labs, imaging centers, immunization registries, and other healthcare entities.

Essential Functions (Duties And Responsibilities):



- 50% Coordinate and contribute to the definition of assigned product area.

- Partner with Product Management leaders to drive portfolio and product strategy.

- Act as accountable party for the portfolio and product strategy of assigned product area, via product roadmaps.

- Provide input to portfolio planning process for assigned product area.

- Collaborate with others to develop expertise in market and competition for your services; Understanding what's next and when to stay the course.

- Define and drive accuracy, completeness, and reliability standards for patient identity data to support a unified, longitudinal clinical record.

- Develop robust interoperability strategies to ensure connectivity and seamless data exchange with Payers, Immunization registries, Hospitals and health systems, Ambulatory practices and specialists, Labs and diagnostic imaging partners, HIEs, public health entities, and other third-party data sources.

- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to enhance probabilistic and deterministic matching algorithms, identity resolution methods, and data quality frameworks.

- Work closely with compliance, privacy, and security teams to ensure all solutions meet HIPAA, TEFCA, and other relevant standards.

- Conduct user research across diverse stakeholdersclinicians, registrars, IT staff, revenue cycle teams - to understand workflows, data challenges, and opportunities for automation.

- Define KPIs and monitor performance, including match accuracy, duplicate reduction, false positives/negatives, merge/unmerge rates, and downstream impact on clinical data completeness.

- Partner with interoperability teams to define data ingestion, normalization, verification, and record-linking workflows.

- Evangelize patient identity best practices both internally and externally to ensure adoption, proper usage, and continuous improvement.

- Scale the solution and quality processes to every team and workflow across the organization with clarity instilling confidence in technical and business teams as well as our customers and industry partners.

- 40% Cross-Functional Coordination and Stakeholder Management.

- Serve as Product Owner for scrum teams covering assigned product area.

- Help to remove obstacles to effective and efficient product delivery from scrum teams.

- Collaborating with other internal R&D teams who leverage patient directory in their workflows.

- Support feature rollouts through alpha, beta and general availability by collaborating with customer-facing teams, analyzing feature impact, and preparing communications.

- Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders across athena in order to streamline processes of gathering ideas/inputs that improve product decisions.

- Partner with Product Management leaders to drive portfolio and product strategy.

- Act as accountable party for the portfolio and product strategy of assigned product area, via product roadmaps.

- Provide input to portfolio planning process for assigned product area.

- Collaborate with others to develop expertise in market and competition for your services; Understanding what's next and when to stay the course.

- Engage with Sales, AM, Product Marketing, and other internal partner teams as needed to determine best ways to communicate product to customers; and to assist Product Management leadership with service descriptions.

- 10% Mentoring and Leadership.

- Contribute to the development of overall product management team by offering mentorship and teaching/sharing subject matter expertise to fellow team members, increasing their technical skills development and subject matter proficiency.

- Help others translate strategic goals to tactical execution plans, to that they can help meet team goals.

- Lead cross-functional projects as requested.

Education & Experience Required:



- Bachelors Degree required; Degree in Business, Product or Computer Science preferred.

- Minimum 10+ years of product management experience in healthcare technology, health information exchange, EHR systems, or interoperability platforms.

- Deep understanding of patient matching, MPI/EMPI systems, identity resolution, data quality, and data governance (preferred).

- Experience working with HL7, FHIR, C-CDA, IHE profiles, RLS, USCDI, TEFCA, and interoperability frameworks.

Knowledge & Skills:



- Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development environments.

- Demonstrated success at driving innovative results in a fast-paced environment and managing simultaneously competing priorities using analytic and quantitative capabilities.

- Ability to balance raw mathematical skills to analyze algorithm impacts with common sense to make business decisions critical patient matching based on US addresses and names.

- Exceptional analytical skills and demonstrated ability to distill complex problems and design effective and scalable solutions.

- Able to maneuver across organization boundaries, build informal and formal networks to form relationships.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to drive alignment across engineering, data science, compliance, clinical operations, and external partners.
