Job Overview:
We are looking for a Assistant Manager - Retention Marketing with a strong strategic mindset and hands-on experience in lifecycle and retention marketing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving user engagement, retention, and lifetime value through data-driven campaigns across multiple channels using tools like CleverTap and similar CRM platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the retention marketing strategy across the customer lifecycle (onboarding, engagement, reactivation, churn prevention).
- Design, launch, and optimize multi-channel campaigns including push notifications, in-app messages, email, SMS, and WhatsApp.
- Use CleverTap (or similar tools) to build user cohorts, journeys, and automation flows.
- Analyze user behavior and funnel data to identify drop-offs, opportunities, and growth levers.
- Drive improvements in key metrics such as retention rate, repeat usage, engagement, and LTV.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Growth, Analytics, and Design teams to align retention initiatives with business goals.
- Plan and run A/B tests to continuously optimize messaging, timing, and user experience.
- Create dashboards and reports to track performance and share insights with stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, trends, and innovations in retention and lifecycle marketing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, or CRM marketing.
- Hands-on experience with CleverTap (mandatory); experience with tools like MoEngage, WebEngage, Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Strong understanding of user segmentation, cohort analysis, and behavioral analytics.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable campaigns.
- Experience running data-driven experiments and interpreting results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in B2C / D2C / App-based.
- Experience working with high-volume user bases.
