Finance Head - CA
Description:
The Finance Head will lead and manage the entire Finance & Accounts function, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and strategic support to business operations. The role requires deep understanding of healthcare operations, including hospitals, diagnostics, pharmacy retail, medical services, insurance billing, TPA coordination, and statutory healthcare compliances.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Strategy:
- Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide financial insights to support business growth, cost optimization, and investment decisions.
- Develop financial models for new hospitals, labs, clinics, and pharmacy expansion projects.
2. Financial Operations & Controls:
- Oversee day-to-day Finance & Accounts operations across locations.
- Ensure timely book closure, accurate financial reporting, and adherence to accounting standards (Ind AS).
- Implement strong internal controls, SOPs, and risk-management processes.
3. Revenue Cycle Management (Healthcare Focus):
Monitor end-to-end billing cycle including:
- OP/IP billing,
- Diagnostics billing,
- Pharmacy sales,
- Corporate & insurance billing.
- Improve TAT for claim submissions, TPA follow-ups, and outstanding recovery.
- Reduce revenue leakages and strengthen system-driven controls.
4. Statutory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with:
- GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI
- Hospital/clinical establishment norms
- Pharmacy-specific regulations
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory and management audits.
5. Cost Optimization:
- Drive cost-efficiency across manpower, consumables, medical supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor contracts.
Analyze unit-level cost metrics such as:
- Cost per sample (labs)
- Cost per bed (hospitals)
- Cost per script (pharmacy)
6. Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor cash flow projections, working capital, and fund requirements.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and payment cycles.
- Oversee vendor payments, capex payments, and financial discipline across units.
7. Business Partnering:
- Work closely with Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Quality, and Medical Administration.
- Support expansion projectsnew lab setup, hospital units, pharmacy outlets.
- Provide insights on pricing strategy, discounts, insurance tariffs, and margin management.
8. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a multi-location finance team.
- Build capability in accounting, RCM, audit, MIS, and analytics.
- Drive culture of accuracy, compliance, and process excellence.
