We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Head of E-commerce to lead the digital transformation of AstaGurus auction and retail business.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building, managing, and scaling our e-commerce platform across categories including Art, Jewelry, Watches, and Collectibles.

You will work closely with leadership to craft a seamless digital experience, drive revenue growth, and deliver on the brands vision of becoming a world-class online luxury destination.


Key Responsibilities

E-commerce Strategy & Leadership


- Define and execute a long-term roadmap for AstaGurus e-commerce business.

- Drive digital P&L across categories; own online revenue, traffic, conversions, and customer lifetime value.

- Translate AstaGurus auction ethos into a compelling digital shopping and auction experience.


Platform Development & Technology


- Lead the design and development of a scalable, secure, and high-performance ecommerce platform (web + mobile).

- Collaborate with product and tech teams to implement UI/UX, personalization, and backend architecture.

- Integrate CMS, CRM, inventory, payment, and logistics systems for seamless operations.


Category Growth


- Strategize and grow each vertical Art, Watches, Jewelry, Collectibles through curated experiences, digital storytelling, and performance marketing.

- Partner with category heads, consignors, and artists to develop exclusive online programs and drops.


Customer Experience


- Build a world-class luxury digital shopping experience that caters to HNIs and global clientele.

- Leverage data analytics and user behavior insights to drive personalization and retention.

- Ensure premium pre- and post-sale support.


Team Building & Cross-functional Leadership


- Hire and lead a high-performing team across digital marketing, product management, operations, and analytics.

- Collaborate with auction, content, tech, marketing, and finance teams to drive alignment and results.


Desired Profile


- 1518 years of experience in e-commerce or digital leadership roles, ideally in luxury, fashion, collectibles, or art-tech domains.

- Proven success in setting up or scaling an e-commerce platform end-to-end, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.

- Exposure to global e-commerce standards and understanding of premium/luxury consumer behavior.

- Strong leadership skills with an entrepreneurial and hands-on mindset.

- Excellent business acumen, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong educational background from reputed institutions (IIM, ISB, IIT, NID, NIFT, or equivalent).
