Overview:

The CIO will be responsible for defining, executing, and overseeing the investment philosophy and strategy for Astaguru Wealth Privy. This role will lead portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment governance for HNI/UHNI clients, while ensuring consistent performance, risk management, and alignment with client objectives and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management:

- Define and drive the overall investment strategy across asset classes (equity, debt, alternatives, structured products, and bespoke opportunities).

- Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation, and rebalancing for HNI/UHNI client portfolios.

- Ensure portfolios are aligned with client risk profiles, return expectations, and long-term wealth goals.

- Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, products, and themes relevant to private wealth clients.

Investment Governance & Risk Management:

- Establish and maintain a strong investment governance framework, including approval processes and review mechanisms.

- Monitor portfolio performance, risk metrics, and downside exposure on an ongoing basis.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

- Lead investment committee discussions and present clear investment rationale and outlook.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Act as a trusted investment advisor for key HNI/UHNI clients, participating in client meetings and reviews where required.

- Support the wealth and relationship management teams with investment insights, market views, and client communication.

- Build credibility and trust with clients through disciplined investment thinking and transparent communication.

Team Leadership & Capability Building:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the investment and research team, fostering a high-performance and ethical investment culture.

- Set clear goals, accountability, and performance benchmarks for the team.

- Encourage continuous learning and market awareness across the investment function.

Business Alignment & Growth:

- Work closely with the Business Head, sales, and product teams to align investment offerings with business strategy.

- Contribute to the development of bespoke and differentiated wealth solutions for Astaguru Wealth Privy.

- Support business growth by enhancing the firm's investment positioning and thought leadership.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Strong experience in investment management, portfolio strategy, or private wealth management, preferably with HNI/UHNI clients.

- Deep understanding of capital markets, asset allocation, and alternative investments.

- Proven ability to manage risk while delivering consistent long-term returns.

- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
