Job Title: Business Development Head Location: Mumbai Reporting to: CEO Position Summary: - The Business Development Head will be responsible for expanding AstaGuru Auction House's client base by generating new leads beyond our existing list of clients. - This role will involve actively sourcing potential buyers, pitching auction lots, developing tailored negotiation strategies, and converting leads into active buyers. - The ideal candidate will be an expert in sales, market trends, customer relationship management, and business development. Primary Job Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management: - Building and mentoring a high-performing business development team. - Developing and implementing training programs to enhance team skills Fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and experimentation. - Coordinating cross-functional efforts with other departments to achieve business objectives Sales Execution & Lead Generation: - Take ownership of the sales teams by handholding , generating new leads beyond the existing clientele. - Engage with them for potential clients through networking, digital platforms, industry events, and cold outreach, converting leads to registered buyers. Pitching & Convincing Buying: - Develop compelling and personalized pitches for new and existing clients. - Use deep knowledge of the auction lots to highlight their unique value while ensuring they are motivated to bid and participate in upcoming auctions. Inducing Interest & Building Engagement: - Develop tailored outreach strategies to capture the interest of new leads. - Create compelling narratives around auction lots, leveraging exclusivity, rarity, and investment potential to spark curiosity and intrigue. - Use market insights and personalized communication to build excitement and trust among prospects. Market Trends & Competitor Analysis: - Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the auction industry. - Use these insights to fine-tune sales strategies, provide relevant recommendations to clients, and stay ahead of industry shifts. Customer Service Excellence: - Provide top-tier customer service to both existing and potential clients. - Address inquiries promptly resolve issues, and ensure that all clients receive a smooth, efficient, and positive experience throughout the auction process. Networking & Social Media Engagement: - Build and expand AstaGuru's client base by engaging with potential clients via social media, industry events, and other networking opportunities. - Develop relationships with high-net-worth individuals and organizations to create business opportunities. Strategic Planning: - Form and implement personalized strategies for growing the client base, acquiring new leads, and increasing repeat business. - Proactively identify opportunities to expand the reach of AstaGuru Auction House, tapping into new markets and demographics. Client Relationship Management: - Cultivate long-term relationships with registered clients, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction. - Provide personalized follow-up and continuous support to encourage repeat participation and loyalty. - Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless client experience. - Share market insights and client preferences with internal teams to improve auction strategy, marketing campaigns, and lot selection. Qualifications: - Proven experience in sales, business development, and client relationship management, with a focus on lead generation and converting leads into buyers. - Strong expertise in pitching, negotiating, and convincing clients to participate and bid in auctions, particularly for high-value items. - Excellent lead-generation skills, with experience sourcing new clients and expanding a client base beyond an existing list. - In-depth knowledge of auction dynamics, market trends, and competitor activities within the art, luxury, and collectibles sectors. - Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships. - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, able to develop and execute effective business development plans. - Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and business growth objectives. - Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field from a Tier 1 college or Ivy League is preferred
