Associated Business Head/Business Head - Heavy Engineering

The Role:

- The Associated Business Head/ Business Head will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, and financial leadership to the world's largest heavy engineering facility.

- The Business Head will drive sustainable growth, profitability, and global competitiveness while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of Heavy Engineering/ Fabrication/ EPC/ Marine manufacturing projects.

- The role requires deep industry expertise, strong execution capability, and the ability to balance long-cycle project risks with commercial outcomes in a private-sector environment..

Responsibilities:

- To reaffirm world class infrastructure, operational turnaround, and commitment to transparency, governance, and long-term value.

- Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and growth roadmap for the organization.

- Own full P&L responsibility including revenue growth, margins, cash flow, and working capital.

- Identify and develop new business segments.

- Drive strategic differentiation through technology, cost leadership, quality, and delivery excellence.

- Lead acquisition of domestic and international large and long-term value project & contracts.

- Oversee bid strategy, pricing models, contract negotiations, and commercial risk assessment.

- Maintain a balanced, profitable order book with appropriate mix of business segment.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.

- Establish strong project governance, milestone reviews, and performance monitoring systems.

- Resolve execution challenges related to engineering, procurement, manpower, subcontractors, and logistics.

- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, modular construction, and project controls.

- Ensure strong cost control, milestone-based billing, and disciplined capital allocation.

- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, insurers, and investors.

- Ensure compliance with IMO regulations, classification society rules, and customer specifications.

- Encourage R&D, innovation, and adoption of environmentally sustainable technologies.
