Role: Associate Vice President
Function: Sales & Distribution
Job Description:
1. Lead from the front to build AuM across PMS, AIF, Offshore Fund and other investment products via large national distributors and direct client relationships (UHNI, Family Offices).
2. The right candidate needs to have existing relationships with national distributors and HNI, Family Office investors.
3. The lead would need to be hand-on, develop in-depth subject matter expertise with the tasks described above and contribute to the particular client segment aligned, as well as hire and guide the right resources on the team with functional nuances
4. Identification and On-Board appropriate national distributors and HNI, Family Offices with investment interest across product and asset class varying from PMS, AIF, Advisory Products and other investment products.
5. Responsible for Business Development - Apply business / product / process understanding to identify opportunities to build depth in the function, move up the value chain from a complexity standpoint and work towards end to end ownership of appropriate tasks
6. Establish strong controls and relationship with existing Investor(s) and new investor(s)
7. Build up AuM (Asset under Management) over a period of engagement through right advise and proper fitment.
8. Guide and manage team to ensure organisation targets are aligned and business numbers are achieved time to time within the appraisal time frame.
9. Act as a Brand ambassador of the company at various events.
10. Continously upgrade and update with all regulatory compliance and cerufication requirement. If such certification are executed with the employment period, the organisation will re-imburse the expenses of the examination costs.
Day to day activities:
1. Drive own self business target
2. Drive Team to achieve their individual business targets.
3. Build a strong sales funnel of high quality NDs and direct investors.
4. Ensure all operational requirement and process requirement are completed to on-baord Investors smoothly and seamlessly.
5. Participate active engagement with management and other stake holders to ensure business growth.
Personal Attributes & Requirements:
We seek candidates with a unique blend of leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills. In addition to functional responsibilities, the candidate is expected to act as a key engagement point with location teams and lead a highly motivated team for both qualitative and quantitative resources to understand complex financial situations and present solutions.
Specific qualifications include:
- MBA/CFA or an equivalent professional degree with 6-7+ years of experience
- Broad experience in Financial/Banking Industry and understanding of the Distirbutors life cycle and Products/Asset classes
- Experienced people manager adapt at working in matrix organization and managing dynamic high performance teams
- Any experience in building and leading Sales teams would be helpful
- Hands on multi-tasker, self directed, capable of working independently and as part of the team.
- Excellent stakeholder engagements skills, strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of distributor engagement and management
- Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
- Able to work independently and adaptable to work in demanding environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills.
