About the Role
We are seeking a high-caliber professional to join our specialized Climate, Nature, and Social Risk team. This is a critical role focused on translating complex climate and physical risk models into actionable business intelligence. You will bridge the gap between deep technical data science and executive decision-making by building robust, data-driven visualization products.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience applying climate or environmental data solutions within a banking or financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Visualization: Develop high-impact visualization solutions that transform complex data sets into intuitive formats for Senior Management and C-Suite stakeholders.
- Climate Risk Integration: Link data-driven insights to strategic stress testing frameworks, focusing specifically on Physical and Transition Risks.
- Product Ownership: Independently design, build, and deploy data-driven products, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Scientists, Model Developers, and Risk Managers to enhance the bank's sustainability and resilience framework.
- Data Governance: Adhere to robust data control processes and governance practices, ensuring 100% accuracy in high-profile risk reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Core Experience: 5-12 years of experience in Data Visualization and Portfolio Analytics, specifically within Financial Services (BFSI).
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, or Power BI.
- Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of APIs, data structures, and the ability to work closely with technology teams.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to convey complex risk analytics to non-technical senior leadership through graphical and oral representation.
Preferred Credentials (The "Ideal" Candidate)
- Strong understanding of Climate-related metrics (e.g., carbon footprinting, physical hazard mapping).
- Experience with GIS software (QGIS/ArcGIS) and geospatial datasets (Shapefiles, Raster).
- Experience in creating briefing materials for Board-level or Regulatory committees.
Why this role?
This is not a standard "reporting" role. You will be at the forefront of the banking industry's response to climate change, developing the tools that will shape the firm's environmental and social risk strategy.
