Associate - Structured Products & Portfolio Valuation

Key Responsibilities:

- 1. Preparing, completing, and reviewing financial models and sophisticated valuation analyses.

- 2. Writing and reviewing valuation reports and presentations.

- 3. Valuation and analysis of amongst other things, mortgage whole loans, student loans, consumer loans as well as RMBS, CMBS, CLO, ABS, and other structured finance securities.

- 4. Drive the development and refinement of valuation models and approaches to determine valuation inputs, including loss and prepayment vectors, as well as appropriate secondary market spreads.

- 5. Coordinating recurring valuation projects with team members including providing oversight to analysts.

- 6. Interacting with clients and preparing deliverables.

- 7. Maintaining proprietary valuation databases.

- 8. Tracking the capital markets and analyzing any changes within the markets.

- 9. Preparing marketing materials for meetings with potential clients.

Qualifications:

Interested candidates should meet the following requirements:

- 1. Excellent analytic foundation with advanced understanding of financial statements and various valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, etc.)

- 2. Proficiency at financial modeling with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- 3. Two to five years of structured products experience

- 4. Structuring, trading, or whole loan modelling experience desirable

- 5. Strong writing skills and experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Word

- 6. Effective organizational skills and the aptitude to manage people and work products

- 7. Strong communication skills and experience interacting with teammates and clients

- 8. Four to six years of professional experience in valuations preferred, but not required

- 9. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics from top tier institution; strong academic record (both undergraduate and graduate)
